Edward and Bella were childhood sweethearts. In 1918, the Spanish Influenza began spreading fast Edward was affected by the influenza quickly. Bella, after refusing to leave Edward's bedside Bella was affected almost instantly after Edward was. One of Edward's final memories was watching his Bella being taken away from him whilst being told she was dead. However, Bella wasn't dead. Someone bit her and left her. Ashamed of what she had become Bella fled into the wilderness. Once Bella realized that, she could hunt animals she returned to civilization and began to look to see if Edward was alive. Edward had a gravestone in the cemetery, she began to exist for the facts Edward would have refused to let her die and she can't figure out how to kill herself. A small tiny corner of her brain told her that Edward is alive. Edward reacted the same way. Only Carlisle and Esme know about Edward's love for Bella and why on September 13th every single year he disappears. Bella on June 20th goes into Chicago (specifically the cemetery) every year no matter what. Now what happens as Bella and Edward both move into Forks and enroll in high school as juniors and meet again? Will they get back together?
