Hey guys. This topic has more to do with the promo pictures, but... Has anyone else noticed how much more golden all of the Cullens' eyes are compared to Twilight? Like in
this picture of Alice and Jasper.
What are your takes on this? Do you like that they appear less brownish gold and more actual gold?
Personally, I think it's more like I imagined it, and it is definitely not as ordinary-looking. I think it's great that their eyes look golder... Though in some of the other pictures, it looks creepy. I guess vampires are supposed to be creepy, though.
Thoughts?

it does make them look more like vampires-and i agree, Parasite, that it makes them look a bit creepy from some angles. it makes them look a bit...richer-as weird as that sounds. i don't know how to explain it. But i definetly like their eyes more in New Moon than in Twilight
I definitely like the more golden eyes for New Moon better. they stand out, instead of making the Cullens look like they completely blend in. it should make them more like the book in how they're supposed to stand out and not fit in with everyone else.
has anybody noticed that, not just with the eyes, that the whole color scheme is golden and other warm colors. I think it looks better. maybe it has something to do with the wolves being warm...

I agree! I did notice that Twilight was definitely blueish and this one overall looks like it's going to be warmer. Greens and yellowish gold tints. It looks good; I'm excited.
I think that the gold-ness is truer to the books, but looks totally weird as an eye color. Honestly, when I was imagining the vampires, the eyes were more amber in my head -- like the Twilight movie. That bright gold color makes them look...bug-eyed.
But that's just me.
I like it better when it's golder but I think that's how it was supposed to be in Twilight.
I have the Twilight calendar (Yeah...I owned up to it) and in all of the pictures, just about every Cullens' eyes were much golder than how they were in the movie. It was the same scenes and pictures, too, just much brighter eyes. Like July was a picture of Carlisle and his eyes were this feline yellowish that practically matched his hair color but you never saw that in the movie. And in one of Rosalie and Emmett in the Cullen kitchen, their eyes are BRIGHT gold and in the same clip during the movie, they're black instead. So maybe they made last minute changes during Twilight and decided to keep it the way it was meant to be? Who knows.
One thing I did notice was Alice's hair in New Moon, though. It's much flatter and looks a bit longer than in Twilight. Sleeker, almost. I liked the fluffed up style and as someone who has the same length hair, usually the poofed up version is much more attractive than the straightened, edgy look.
It's not a crime to own Twilight merch. xD
That's cool that they put the effort into it graphically, at least. I don't own the calender (but it sounds cool), so I can only look up scans online (which I'm too lazy to do right now). As for Alice's hair, I think Ashley Greene cut it. It was a wig before. I think the Twilight hair of hers was more Alice-y, but I don't mind the new hair all that much. At least she it's real now!
And Kai, that's a perfect description! Bug-eyed. *nods* It only looked that way, to me, on Jackson (Jasper). Sometimes his face is even bug-ish, to me, no offense Jackson lovers. xD He's a cutie, but yeah. Just my opinion. ^_^
