Be warned. the Aro one FREAKS THE LIVING DAYLIGHT OUT OF ME. its not how i pictured him looking like AT ALL. i really dont like how they made Aro look. But Marcus was really good-almost dead on to how i picture him. and Caius is good, except i pictured his hair a bit longer-you know, like Lucius Malfoy long. Jane-well i realy don't like Dakota Fanning and she isn't how i pictured Jane at all. Jane is supposed to have brown short hair and Dakota has long blond hair...
Alec is okay-i pictured him looking a bit younger for some reason, but i don't know.
The costumes are okay-but a bit Halloween costume store-ish, you know what i mean? I pictured the cloaks looking more...simple and believable. not velvet with bows. it just doesn't seem realistic
what are your views?

Halloween costume store-ish? LOL, I know!! That was my first thought when I saw them. They all sort of looked like they were modeling costumes for a Halloween magazine, to me. Especially the one of Marcus. He looks Dracula-ish, and he's the one that creeped me out the most! But, that's good! Aren't they supposed to be a little creepy??

HAHAHAHA you are SO right. that was EXACTLY what i thought. It was like flipping through a Halloween magazine-everything looks so....fake. Marcus does look a bit Dracula-ish, but he still looks like Marcus just the same. i don't know about some of their poses-well, just Marcus and Caius's. Marcus looks like he is....i don't even know-just look at his picture and place the words 'i vant to suck your blood'-he looks like he is a zombie with his arms scretched out. ha. Caius looks...i don't even know. Over all, im not happy with the pictures. lets just hope the movie will be better

I don't know... they did a better job than I thought they would. I totally agree on the costumes -- they're too ornate. Jane's outfit looks weird, and Dakota Fanning looks a little too old in the picture. But otherwise I'm not unhappy with her as Jane. I think she can be creepy if she wants to be. Alec on the other hand... what's up with his crossed arms? He looks like a rapper in a halloween costume. But otherwise everything looks okay. They seem scarier in the pics than in the books!

yes they definetly seem a bit more menacing in the pics than i ever thought they would look. lol i was trying to place what Alec's pose reminded me of and you're right-he does look like a wannabe rapper modeling for a costume.

I always pictured them REALLY frightening in the books! Like, washed out flesh, gaunt faces, blueish veins visible, and beady, glassy eyes. If anyone's seen the Underworld movies, I always pictured Viktor as Aro.

Kind of like that. I'm in no way disappointed by Michael Sheen because I heard he does a fantastic job or any of the other Volturi actors (I love, love, LOVE JCB) but I was a bit stunned in the lack of makeup and physical change they did on Cameron as Alec. I pictured his hair much different and shorter. If Jane and Alec are as old as they're supposed to be, I don't think Alec would have such a modern hairstyle. Anyway, for someone as naturally attractive as JCB is, I was a bit let down by all the makeup they put on him and the extensive changes. Not saying JCB is best for Caius (he's like...really young...) but he could have looked more authentic to me without resembling a Barbie doll.

Another thing, why does Aro look like a used car salesman why everyone else is decked out in ancient robes? I get he's like the 'leader' and all that...I just dislike the very modern twist. :/

does anyone else think Caius looks a little too young? I always imagined him as a bit of an older man, not like superwrinkly and all that, but at least looking older than his early 20's. Aro looks kinda odd in his suit, but better than I thought they would do.
one thing I am disapointed about is that they didn't really portray their odd skin. that's a huge character trait, and they pretty much skipped over it!

i think i read somewhere in an interview that the director, Chris Weiz, was adding their weird skin with special effects. no idea if that will happen or not, but i do hope so

Nothing against the actors playing Jane and Alec but neither would be my first choices. I feel they are a bit too old. From SM's description I was thinking maybe 10 or eleven and slightly chubby like Di Vinci's cherubs. If it had been me I would have hired 8 year old twins so they wouldn't be needing to shave by time the seiries ended.
