ATTENTION ALL READERS & WRITERS -- there is a thief among us!! A reader brought to my attention tonight that she saw one of my stories posted on fanfiction.net under another author's name. After some poking around, it seems this person has stolen multiple stories from me -- and other writers on this site. Please go check out "her" stories and make sure one of yours is not among them. If you find yours, please report it to the site managers. I'm hoping they will take down the stolen stories and revoke that person's registration. O_O To see someone with the audacity to do something like this...I'm sincerely sorry to see this happen to you Kayla Ariev. But, a bright side (a rather weak bright side) is that she thinks your stories are brilliant enough to claim them as her own. If you need me to sign a petition or be a witness or whatever FF.net asks for, let me know :)

I repeat what Kayla Ariev wrote. She copied the stories from THIS site, WORD BY WORD. Somebody wrote, "Do you have an account on Twilight Archives? I've seen your work on there." This, is not her work. It is yours, and the work of many other people on this site. She just thought she could get away with it because she posted it on a different site, I guess. I second Kayla Ariev's suggestion that you go check to see if your fic has been ripped off. It disgusts me that someone could do this. I'm sorry for Kayla Ariev, and everyone else who got their stories plagiarized.

She messaged me saying that she didn't realize that they were plagiarized, her friend just asked her to post some stories for her. She took them all down because she was horrified. She claims that the one story still left is actually her work, and no one else's.

I call BS ... whatever. At least the stolen stories are down. I'm so glad to see everyone here rallying around the "cause," so to speak! I was so furious (as you may have guessed from my previous message) and it's nice to see that I wasn't overreacting.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you, Kayla Ariev! And to all others who had their work stolen. SO not cool. I checked the link, but it looks like all her stories were taken down...save for one. I'm sorry to say that this person has taken a few plot ideas from my story for hers. Does anyone know if the rest is original?

omg....well i looked through the story still left on her account, i have not seen it on TA so hopefully its her own. that is just sad-copying fanfic??? she has some problems, i'll say that much. i didn't see her account before, so i have no idea if she took some of mine (i hope she didn't tho) its kinda scary to think that people can copy your own stories and put them as their own on ANY site and that you may not even know. is there something that can be done to stop that from happening??

I think a lot of cases of plagiarism happen because the plagiarizer actually doesn't realize it's wrong. It happened to me once--I freaked out and told her to take down the story, and she went all defensive, saying she didn't realize it was plagiarism to copy my story word-for-word, change only the names, and call it her own. Anyway, I'm sorry it happened to you, Kayla Ariev. It's a horrible feeling to see someone stealing your work. :(

Man Kayla Ariev, that's totally not okay. I like you're strories too but I'd definately be upset if someone was plagiarizing my stuff, I completely understand where you're coming from. Is there anything you an do about it?

It's probably just a little funk that settled over this site for a little while. There are only so many different versions of what can happen. But I'm sure someone will get a spark of creativity and that will get things rolling again! Midterms just kind of ended also. Don't blame it only on the writers, blame it on the school system and lack of sleep.

I don't reccomend pre-ordering it if you want it that day, BTW. I did for Eclipse, and I ended up with two copies because I couldn't wait any longer and went out and bought it. It was another week before the copy I had pre-ordered arrived. Gr.
