Jenn and Kaiwynn are both taking a break right now. Jenn is sick and Kaiwynn is on hiatus.
I'm the only one running the site right now.
Unfortunately, I am beyond busy in New York with my internship and moving in to my apartment for next year.
The submissions will take a little longer to be approved or rejected so please make it easier on myself and yourselves.
Quite frankly, I am beyond tired of telling all of the authors to abide by the rules that are present on this site, yet some simply push submit without previewing, spellchecking , formatting and grammar checking their chapter.
We, meaning all of the mods, are trying to make this site well adjusted yet we can't due to the submissions we get that are often poorly spelled, in need of grammar revisions, and less than 500 words.
It's tiring and I hate coming out like a bitch and haughty, but honestly, it has to be changed in some way.
There are so many betas available on this site that can check everything for you prior to submission, so there's really no excuse.
MS Word and other online services offer to spell and grammar check, as well.
Other than that, I would like to graciously thank all of the authors who put in their submissions in accordance to the rules. You guys really make it easier.
As for now, the submissions will not be as lenient as before, seeing as how so many authors are taking advantage of our "niceness." We are actaully now going to manually spellcheck, grammarcheck, and word-count all submissions submitted.
It's the only way, I think.

UPDATE 7/13: ALL REJECTION LETTERS ARE NOW BEING PERSONALISED. DO NOT DELETE THEM BEFORE OPENING THEM. IN EACH REJECTION LETTER, YOU WILL FIND THE REASON AS TO WHY YOU WERE REJECTED. THIS WAY YOU CAN RESUBMIT YOUR CHAPTER AFTER FIXING MISTAKES. LIKE I SAID, EVEN GRAMMAR COUNTS NOW. THANK YOU.

Awe that sucks for you. your doing a good job and as Katlynn_Hale said, not bitchy or haughty at all. We owe you guys a lot for validating stories, without which we would probably end up misunderstanding a lot of peoples work. thanks again.

Not bitchy--it's what you have to do. Maybe there should be a 3 strikes and you're out sort of rule. Mess up x amount of times, and you won't be able to submit for a certain period of time.

I agree with Blonde Bella. But I think it will take a lot of time to keep track of that. Or you should all just take a break for like a week or so. like the site did once before.

I don't want to penalize people for mistakes, though it gets aggravating. I don't think we can afford to tkae a break now, what with Kaiwynn on her hiatus. We'll just keep going on.

OMG I just went on the Stephenie Meyer website and I found out that anywhere outside North America will not be able to get Breaking Dawn until the 4th of August! I'm in Australia, and I am so bummed out! You guys will all have finished it before I can even buy it! iluvedwardcullen xx

I'm back now, as long as the anti-biotics i'm on continue to work. I'm sorry to leave you with such a heavy work load, lustandthrill. I feel terrible about it, but I honestly wasn't able to get out of bed xP.

I like Blonde Bella's idea. It would certainly teach them a lesson, and give them time to learn some grammar. I'm sorry you have to keep posting stuff like this. You must feel like tearing your hair out. Which must suck.

I'd just like to say thank you to all the authors who submit flawlessly; you guys make it worth it. Jenn, don't worry! Take as much rest as possible and get better! Don't worry about little ol' me. I think I just hacked out a few chunks of hair right now, topaz eyes, hahahah. Blonde Bella, if we did that, we probably wouldn't be able to keep count with them all. Trust me, they are more rejections than accepted submissions.

Try refreshing the page or just logging out of the site completely and opening a new internet window so you can re-login and try it again. I think a lot of people have been having problems like that. I have. **Emma

I think you guys are doing an amazing job with the site and I am behind the changes 100%! I was wondering if you are looking for any more mods or anything to help keep the site running. If so I have experience as a moderator on a Buffy fan fiction website. I would love to help out here if there is a need. Thanks!

We have no control with adding new moderators (even temporary ones). Kaiwynn runs this site, we merely work for her on a volunteer basis.
You'll have to contact her and wait until she returns from haitus. Thank you so much for offering though. :)
And as to the site issues, I'm not entirely sure what is going on there, either. Like I said, Kaiwynn has control over the site, so we'll have to deal with the errors until she gets back. Sorry =/

mac word counts. or you can ask the internet :) many places will tell ya, like http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/script2/countwords.shtml there. Hope this helps, i use mac word.
