Christine’s POV

The microphone seemed to get farther and farther away the closer I tried to get to it.

My nerves were so big they were practically shaking my entire body. I hated that I was so nervous. I had never been this nervous to perform before. Maybe it was because all day, I had the feeling that I was being watched. That I was being followed, and I knew that my follower would be in the audience.

The silk swayed against my white, creamy legs, and curls piled onto my head brushed at my tender shoulders. The music began as my eyes scanned to crowd looking for my mother. She sat there watching me with a smile pasted onto her mouth, but her eyes looked nervous and scared.

So it wasn’t just me. She felt it to. Someone was there for me… and I needed to find out who.

But just then the band started up with our hottest new single which kind of killed that idea.

I took at deep breath as my eyes scanned the audience looking for someone unusual. I could see no one… well there was this one girl who was without a doubt the most gorgeous girl I had ever laid my eyes on. She had blond waves, a perfect figure, and she had unnaturally beautiful features.

The word struck... vampire.

I would recognize those features anywhere.

Why was she here though?

I had to sing now.

I'm in the business of misery, let's take it from the top
She's got a body like an hourglass it's ticking like a clock
It's a matter of time before we all run out...
When I thought he was mine, she caught him by the mouth

I waited eight long months
She finally set him free
I told him I couldn't lie, he was the only one for me
Two weeks we had caught on fire
She's got it out for me, but I wear the biggest smile

Whoa...well I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now
Whoa... it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now
But God does it feels so good
'Cause I got him where I want him now
And if you could then you know you would
'Cause God it just feels so...
It just feels so good

Second chances they don't never matter, people never change
Once a whore, you're nothing more, I'm sorry that'll never change
And about forgiveness, we're both supposed to have exchanged
I'm sorry honey, but I passed up, now look this way!

Well there's a million other girls who do it just like you
Looking as innocent as possible to get to who
They want it what they like, it's easy if you do it right
Well I refuse, I refuse, I refuse!
I looked towards mom in the audience, but I caught just the tail end of her dress, slipping out the door, I closed my eyes, and focused. She was running back to my dressing room, and there was a young girl following her. The girl had short black hair, and was wearing a small black dress that was almost plastered to her perfect, pasty frame.

Whoa...well I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now
Whoa... it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now
But God does it feels so good
'Cause I got him where I want him right now
And if you could then you know you would
'Cause God it just feels so...
It just feels so good ...

I watched his wildest dreams come true
Not one of them involving you
Just watch my wildest dreams come true
Not one of them involving ...

Whoa, well I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now ...

Whoa, well I never meant to brag
But I got him where I want him now
Whoa... it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now
But God does it feels so good
'Cause I got him where I want him now
And if you could then you know you would
'Cause God it just feels so...
It just feels so good
“And the Grammy award for best alternative rock ballad goes to… High Temperature!”That was us.I stepped over to the woman quickly, accepted the award, and said a quick thanks to my mom, and our producer.I slipped off the stage as quickly as I could, and ran to my dressing room. Mom was sitting huddled in a corner, her vibrant bloody tears running down her face. She kept whispering… “They’re back…They’re back.”Christ on a cracker… this could be a problem.
