Chrissy broke apart from Rosalie reluctantly, and shot once last look at Edward. When she saw that he was watching her again, she glared. She walked over to me, and I could see the hesitation in her eyes. She had to leave…

Practice was very strict for her, and if she didn’t make it, her producer threw fits, but I could also see that she was terrified of leaving me here without anyone on her side. I knew that Alice was with me though… there was a tension between her and Edward; I had a good feeling as to why. She had never truly forgiven Edward for being unfaithful… she blamed him for my decision to leave…

Chrissy’s POV

She didn’t honestly expect me to leave did she? I know that I have practice, but this is vital. I could deal with a grumpy producer later… she was the most important thing to me.

However the look in her eyes told me that I had no choice but to go, and if I didn’t go willingly she would send for someone to take me there, even if I had to go kicking and screaming. I didn’t want to leave her alone with him… I couldn’t.

I stepped up to her.

“Mom… please let me miss just one practice…”

“NO”

I groaned… “I don’t want you here alone.”

“I’ve got Alice and Rosalie, and Edward knows not to cross them when they get pissy.”

“Okay… rephrase… I don’t want you here without me.”

“How is the adult here?”

I gave her an incredulous look.

“I’ve been on this earth longer then most people grandparents… you can’t pull that one on me…”

She rolled her eyes, and I could tell that she was beginning to get aggravated, because there was faint tint of red to them.

“Would you just go?”

I’d decided to try just one more time.

“Will you take me?” I widened my eyes in a useless attempt to puppy face her. As usual it didn’t work.

“You are perfectly capable of getting there yourself… now go before you are late… I DON”T want another call from Mr. Carson (AN: the producer) saying that you showed up late.”

My shoulders fell in defeat…

“Fine I’ll go now, but promise me that you will be home by the time I get there.”

“That depends what time does practice end?”

“Umm… 6oclock today… I think.”

“I’ll be home by 6:30, how about that?”

“Fine”

“See you darling.”

I crossed my eyes, and mimed killing myself.

She shoved me slightly, laughing, and I went to hug Rosalie and Alice.

Everyone sat there, having just witnessed one of the famous Bella and Chrissy disputes.

Alice and Rosalie returned my hugs with kisses on the cheek, and I made my way to the door. Just as I was about to slip out I turned to mom.

“6:30.” I reminded her.

She smiled and made a cross over her heart.

“Promise.” She whispered.

And with that, I turned around and glared at Edward for a moment, before slamming the door.
