The song is called Zombie and is by the Cranberries. Seth’s POV

Another head hangs lowly,
Child is slowly taken.
And the violence caused such silence,
Who are we mistaken?

It’s hard to see her, to watch her. It’s like she’s dead, but maybe that would have been better. She sobs and weeps in her room, thinking we can not hear her. It’s her fortress but it’s breaking down and her with it.

But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...

The whole world is against her, or so she thinks. It’s her against so many. She has lost hope, love, and family. Bitterness envelops her as she thinks about her life. Unfortunately that happens all to often. She tries to ignore her needs for warmth, for sun, and cold invades her. We can only watch.

In your head, in your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie,
Hey, hey, hey. What's in your head,
In your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie?

We don’t know what she’s thinking. When she’s not guarded at least. When she lets everything go. She’s a mystery as she won’t let anyone touch her. She says she wants to be alone, but that’s the one thing she’s afraid of.

Another mother's breakin',
Heart is taking over.
When the violence causes silence,
We must be mistaken.

She hurts everyone with her actions, her taunts. She thinks that she’s seeking revenge, but she’s only getting pain in return. It’s hard for her to breath sometimes, I see her gasping for breath. She lashes out and all pity is swiped from our thoughts. She becomes evil in our eyes, but isn’t that what she wants? Everyone is not her enemy, but that’s what she’s fighting for. We have stopped trying to understand her.

It's the same old theme since nineteen-sixteen.
In your head, in your head they're still fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are dying...

She takes kind gestures as threats. She thinks pity is hatred. She thinks love is pain. She refuses to believe in what she sees. Everything is misinterpreted. But that’s just the irrationality talking. She does not know what to think or love. Her world is dying and she’s doing all she can to keep it alive.

In your head, in your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie,
Hey, hey, hey. What's in your head,
In your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie?

She’s dead inside and she tried to cover it up with insults. She acts bitter so that her pains is masked. Being strong, that’s her only wish. The world is her enemy as she is slowly cracking into pieces. Divide and conquer. But what she does not know is that she’s the one loosing the battle. Every day of her body not aging only sends more coal into her fury. Very soon…very soon it will run out. Maybe only then can she maybe think rationally again. But until then…she’s locked up in the prison she built for herself.
