Chapter 12: Truth

By: Eternitys_Charm

Chapter Notes: I had to redo this chapter because I wasn’t happy with the first time I did this, so I erased and redid. I’m happy with it now, though ^_^

Here is a new chapter! J yay! Lol. As promised, more eventful than the last. And..longer :P

“Training?” I asked confused.

Seth glanced over at Jared, “he doesn’t know about us, Jared.” He explained.

Jared stared at me with surprise, both his eyebrows lifted high on his forehead. “He doesn’t? Well he’ll be in for a shocker, won’t he?”

I still had no idea what he was talking about, but I decided to dismiss it and hopefully they would explain to me whatever was going on.

I noticed Kyle, Harry, and Tyler dismissed themselves from the table, saying they would meet us in the forest.

As soon as they left John and Dylan came over to sit by me. I looked at John with a questionable look. He shrugged. “Never knew you were part of the family, Anthony.”

The word family caught me off guard. He noticed my expression and just chuckled. Dylan noticed my expression also and shook his head with amazement. “I can’t believe you don’t know anything about us…who we are.”

I shrugged apologetically.

“Those leeches of yours keep secrets this big from you, huh?” He said with a hard voice.

“Hey!” Sam retorted to his son. He gave him a hard look and Dylan laid back in his chair with his arms crossed.

“What did he mean by leeches?” I asked John.

He didn’t answer, he only side-glanced at Dylan. They both just shrugged.

There were many things that were being hidden from me, and I didn’t like feeling left out.

“What do you two know?” I asked raising my voice a little too much. The adults didn’t seem to mind, though, they kept going on with their business.

“Nothing you won’t soon find out.” Dylan said calmly.

“Finish eating, the sooner you get that done, the sooner everything will be answered.” John said trying to calm me down.

“I’m done, then.” I said putting my fork down on the plate.

“Time to train, then.” Sam said appearing by my side. “You too, John. You maybe know what we are but you don’t know how to control it.”

With that everyone exited the room; I followed John and Dylan out to the front door. Only Emily stayed back, taking care of her small child.

I followed everyone into the deepness of the woods. I looked around me, taking in everything I could from this place I had once been at but I couldn’t remember it well. I knew it was La Push. My mother use to tell me my father grew up here, and that we use to practically live here. But I had no memory of being here.

I blamed myself for not remembering this place; I tried so hard to let go of everything that dealt with my father. It only caused me pain to remember anything about my father. This place went away along with my other memories.

I was so intrigued with everything around me, the trees, the soil, the different atmosphere, that I hardly felt the five mile walk we had made into the forest.

“Here we are.” Sam said pointing out at a large open field. All the trees seemed to be cut down to make the pasture.

“What’s here?” I asked still confused. This place only seemed like a wide field to me, but to them it was obviously something else.

“You’ll see.” Dylan said with a sly smile.

Leah formed all the “kids” up in one line, except for John and me. I still didn’t know what the heck was going on so I stared at them confused. John seemed to be paying attention to every detail that was going on. I guessed I should do that too maybe then I could have got a clue.

“Most of you are still new at this, but you know more about this than Anthony and John so why don’t we show them how it’s done.” Sam called out to all the boys in line, “So far all of you have been good in containing it in, and not letting it out with any little thing that angers you.” He continued. “With that, I want everyone to get in position, all the obstacles have been put in front of you as before. You know what to do.”

Seth walked up, “Who has the most experience?” Seth asked.

“Dylan.” Sam said pointing out his child from the rest. “He’s been in this for a year.”

Seth nodded, “you first, then.”

Dylan nodded. Everyone backed up away from him. John stared at him with concentration.

“Go.” Seth murmured.

In less than a second Dylan’s body was transforming, I gaped in shock at the scene in front of me. Dylan’s clothes ripped to shreds and fur took over his russet colored skin, black fur. His face transformed into dog-like and his body grew immensely.

All I could do was stare with my mouth open, unable to move, and unable to comprehend.

Dylan looked like a wolf after the transformation.

Were they all werewolves? I wondered. Was I one, too?

The wolf took off in top speed avoiding every obstacle that had been placed in front of him with ease. Halfway done with the course Leah and Seth both converted into wolves and started running after Dylan’s wolf.

They each pounced on him, clinging him to the ground.

The black wolf snarled and threw Leah’s wolf to the side like a piece of trash. Seth’s wolf still attacked at Dylan. Dylan got a weak point in Seth and dashed off to finish the course.

The black wolf ran into the woods and a minute later Dylan appeared with just black shorts.

“Cool.” John whispered next to me.

“You’re strong.” Seth commented to Dylan.

“Thanks.” Dylan said out of breath.

I still had no idea what was going on, and all of this was too much to handle. The chance I got I ran off into the woods. I could hear everyone’s exclamations behind me, but I kept running.

I thought I had gone deep enough and I settled myself on a tree stump. I grabbed by hair and whimpered.

What the hell was that, they were wolves?

Was I a wolf freak, too?

I heard movement next to me and found John, Seth, and Sam standing next to me.

I grimaced, how did they find me.

“Anthony, are you all right?” Seth asked.

I didn’t speak; I was still in shock of what had happened to move my mouth.

I noticed Seth and Sam exchange glances. Sam knelt down in front of me, “I know this is a lot to take in, I didn’t know what I had become at first. I thought I was a freak, I use to loose control so easily and turn into this…wolf.” He explained. “I was alone when my transformation happened, I didn’t have anyone to talk to about this. But you do. If you need help talk to me, I can help.”

I still didn’t say a word. I only sat there on the stump staring at the mud below my feet.

“You seem to have good control of this.” Seth noted, “Most of the new werewolves freak out and transform with every little excitement or anger. But you seem all right.”

Werewolf. I repeated the word in my head. I use to make fun of those movies with werewolves. And now I had become one.

I sighed. “Why?” I finally whispered.

Sam stared at me for a long second before answering. “Vampires.” Was what he whispered.

Everything seemed more ridiculous, so now there were vampires out in the world.

I couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

John scoffed and crossed his arms across his chest. “You think that’s funny?”

I coughed trying to hide my laughter. “Well…come on, the thought of vampires is just too much, it’s ridiculous.”

John glared but it was Seth who answered me, “Anthony, answer me something. Have your mother and step-father ever gone out in the sun?”

“Broad day light?”

I thought for a moment, not looking at any of them, “no.” I whispered.

“Do they eat dinner?”

I scoffed, “yeah.”

“Do they need to excuse themselves to the bathroom every time right after they eat?”

“Yes. But what’s the big deal with that, come on. I need to go to the bathroom after, too. That proves nothing.”

“Have any of the Cullens ever go out for a week every month or so?”

“Have they—“

I interrupted getting frustrated. “Where are you going with this, Seth? Are you trying to tell me that my family are a bunch of vampires?” I asked completely bewildered.

I began to laugh but when I noticed the serious face on each of them my laugh faded into a nervous chuckle.

“You’re wrong.” I said to them.

“No.” Sam said. “Anthony it’s hard to take down, especially since they’ve been your family. But they are vampires. Vampires are what trigger us to become werewolves. Sine you live in a house of vampires it triggered the werewolf in you.”

“I still don’t understand. How can you be certain that my family are vampires?

“Pale skin.” Seth began listing signs, yeah they were all pale but I thought that was natural. “Gold or black eyes, in your family, at least.” That too, I sometimes saw my parents and family’s eyes change from gold to black instantly when ever they got mad or throughout the month after they went out of the house for a week to...wherever they go.

“Still….” I began.

“I think it will be better if you hear it from your family. So why don’t we right now get to training, huh?” Seth said.

I shook my head, I was getting angry. My family could not be vampires. They couldn’t. Vampires were vile and evil and killed people, my family would never do that.

I glared at all three men in front of me, my body shaking frantically. I felt sick.

And then I remembered nothing that happened after.

End Notes: So what do you think? Terrible? Updates will come soon. Promise. :]] Thank you, my readers, for being soooo patient with me I truly appreciate it!
