“Just a few more steps,” Carlisle said as he led me, blindfolded through the trees, my vampire senses kept me balanced.
“OK, here we are, you can take off the blindfold now.”
Without a word I ripped off the blindfold and gasped at our new home. It was perfect, exactly what I wanted.
The style was Victorian but it had Edwardian style windows. The color was a light grey with red, purple, and dark grey trimming. It was surrounded by a black iron fence and flowers of all colors bloomed in the front yard.
“Well, may I break your stare by giving you a tour of the indoors, and please, its on the house.” That was Edward, always the perfect gentleman.
“Yes I would love that,” I just managed to say, my eyes kept glued my dream house. I loved it. Carlisle took my arm and led me inside. The inside was beautiful. It was large and spacey but cozy and the walls were all light pastels like yellow, orange and blue. It was already all furnished and you could tell it was mostly all antiques; a lot of money had gone into the making of this house. Once we got to the dining room I realized that Edward was speaking, the grandness of the house distracted me so much that I didn’t even notice him!
“And this is the dining room. The table and chairs are from Italy, early eighteen hundreds and the china cabinet is from England, same period.”
“Wow,” I said, the word didn’t seem to summarize it enough, it was more than wow . Thiswas fantastic.I threw my arms round Carlisle and planted a hard kiss on his cheek. Then I let go and did the same, just not hard, to Edward. I am sure that if he was human he would be crimson now.
“Thank you SO much. You don’t know how much this means to me.”
“Oh you have no idea, no idea.” Replied Edward VERY mysteriously. I looked at him, confused but he preoccupied himself with moving the chairs out to show me the cloth covering them. Then he started describing those and there was no time for questions.
We went upstairs and Carlisle stopped the tour just outside of a big door at the end of the hallway.
“I’ll take it from here,” he said, ”thank you Edward.
“Be my guest, and you are very welcome” and then he walked away leaving Carlisle and me to ourselves.
“This is our bedroom,” he said, prolonging the word our way longer then necessary.
The room was very pleasing. The walls were painted a light blue/grey and blue silk curtains hung over the windows. There was a large wardrobe in one corner and in the other there was a small writing desk. With it’s back against the wall there was….a bed. I looked quizzically at Carlisle but he only smiled and nodded.
“Carlisle, what’s the bed for?” I asked, truly curious.
“Oh, I’ll show you.” He said and then I was on the bed, pinned down by his strong arms, his lips crushing into mine. In between a kiss he whispered,
