I was in a haze and couldn’t seem to find anyone. I tried to open my eyes but they wouldn’t budge.

“What’d you do to her bloodsucker? She was fine until you went to her!” I heard Jake shout from somewhere behind me.

“Jacob just shut up.” Alice retorted. “She’ll be awake in a few minutes.” That’s when I felt something cold and hard holding me, Edward. I forced my eyes open as best as I could to see Edward’s face above me. The worried look on his face made me smile.

“I’m fine.” I said reassuringly. “But I would like to go inside if you don’t mind.” I stood up too quickly and tripped, Edward catching me before I hit the ground.

“Would you like me to carry you?” Edward smiled as he asked.

“If you must.” I said in mock annoyance before laughing and holding onto him tighter. Jake rolled his eyes and said something that sounded like “disgusting.” before him and the rest of the pack disappeared into the forest.

Edward carried me inside and set me down on his bed before backing up and sitting himself on the couch.

“Are you serious?” I asked him sitting up and crossing my legs.

“What?” he was confused.

“Are you seriously sitting over there on that couch?” I heard a little whimper before realizing it was coming from me.

“Not if you don’t want me to be.” he said from behind me on the bed suddenly. He pulled me to him, kissing my cheek and then my lips. I turned around to face him and pushed him flat on the bed, surprised he’d let me.

“Aren’t you afraid of me?” Edward said between kisses.

“Why would I be afraid of you?” I started unbuttoning his shirt.

“Can we talk about this?” he said interrupting me, and pulling his head back from little.

“No. Shut up.” I kissed him again, not willing to let go.

“Bella.” He stopped. “Can we come to an agreement?” I stopped kissing him, laying my head on his chest while I thought.

“What kind of agreement?” I could think of a few things he would try to persuade me about for this.

“Marry me first?” He smiled my favorite crooked grin.

“Now I know this would be hard for you but will you consider it? Please?” Edward was practically pleading.

“But Edward, now would be so perfect. Why wait until we’re married?” I asked him.

“So is that a yes? You just said that you didn’t want to wait till we’re married. That must mean you want to marry me sometime.” He smiled again.

“Fine. But you’ll have to explain to me why we’re waiting until then.” I was giving in too quickly and I knew it. I was finally beginning to realize that I actually wanted to be married to Edward, even though my parents would be furious.

“One second.” Edward zoomed off of the bed so quickly that I didn’t have time to react. I landed onto the mattress with a thump, having been on top of him before he moved. When I rolled over I saw him already at the end of the bed gesturing for me to come to him. I complied. Once I was off the bed in front of him he got down on one knee.

“Please just indulge me on this. I want to make it official.” He said smirking. I gave in and nodded.

“Isabella Swan? I promise to love you forever, every single day of forever. Will you marry me?” His voice showed so much compassion for me that I smiled. I then thought of all the beautifully cheesy things I could have said to him just then. Instead of any of them I settled for what was easiest.

“Yes. Yes Edward I will marry you.” His smile grew as he placed the ring on my finger before holding me in his arms and kissing me so deeply that it could have been filmed as a gushy romance movie.

And then there was a knock on the door.
