**Bella's POV**

In the last six months, Jake and I had grown close. Very close. It was hard for me to display affection but it was getting better. Those three little words weren't out in the open yet but I was sure that they were right around the corner. I would never forget Edward but I wasn't going to let that stop me from living. I knew now that you can have more then one true love. I wasn't willing to tag Jake as my other true love but as least I knew that there was life after love. I had wondered if maybe, I was one of Edward's true loves?

Don't let life pass you by. I'm so tired that I can't sleep. Standin' on the edge of somethin' much too deep. I will remember you. Will you remember me? Don't let your life pass you by. So afraid to love you. More afraid to lose. Clinging to a past that wont let me choose. Will you remember me?

That night I dreamed that Jake and I were walking along the beach. We were holding hands. All of the sudden he stopped us and turned so that he was directly in front of me.

"I love you, Bella."

"I lo-"

THUD. THUD. THUD. I could see trees falling in the distance. The layers of trees getting closer to where we were as they fell.

Jake said, "Bella run! Fast!"

His eyes were willing me to go, boring their way into my soul. Then he burst into the russet colored wolf.

"Jake! Please don't go!" I called as he ran, full speed, towards the trees.

Then I saw them. Vampires. Lots of them. There was one that stood out from the rest though. One with red hair and a menacing laugh. She grabbed onto the scruff of Jake's neck and bit her teeth into his hide.

"JAKE!" I woke up screaming his name.

**Jacob's POV**

I had jumped out of the window when I thought that she was going to wake up. Then I heard her scream out my name.

I jumped back through her window and knelt down beside her bed. Her breathing was ragged.

"Oh my God. Oh my..." she kept chanting.

Then she looked over at me. She leaned over and threw her arms around my neck. She then started sobbing, saying my name repeatedly.

"Shh...Bells, I'm here. What's wrong honey?"

"She's coming. Victoria's coming."

**Edward's POV**

The plane ride was excruciating. Two hours of sitting in an uncomfortable chair and listening to several children crying.

"Edward! Pay attention to my thoughts please! If you are listening put your hand on you arm rest and tap your fingers."

I did so. Alice must have some new information on the army.

"Okay Edward. It's Victoria. She must have created the army so that she could get through the werewolves. Unless this is some sort of trick, she plans on attacking in three days."

I felt the metal arm rest crushing under my finger tips.

"Edward! Stop! Right now there are only twenty-three newborns. We can take them. It will be hard but we can stop them."

I nodded my head to show that I had heard and that I was under control. I was going beat the venom out of Victoria.

"Bring it on Victoria!" Alice shouted in her head.

***In Forks***

We needed to get in touch with the wolves. They needed to protect Bella while the fight was going on.

**Jacob's POV**

I heard the phone ringing from the front room. I groggily stalked over to the incessant ringing.

"Hello?"

"This is Carlisle Cullen." I let a low growl escape into the phone.

"Is Billy Black there?"

I flinched at my dad's name but answered, "Billy is dead, bloodsucker! What do you want here?!"

"I need to speak with one of the informed elders or the alpha of the pack immediately. This is a matter of utmost urgency."

"Both of the 'informed' elders are dead. The alpha is Sam Uley. I am second in command and I would like to know what's going on if you don't mind!" I sneered.

"There is an army of newly created vampires going to Forks. They are created by a female named Victoria."

"We know. Well, not everything but we've got an eye open." I struggled to be civil.

"We would like to meet with you and the pack leader to discuss this."

Everything in me was telling me that I should just tell him to go to hell. I should tell him that he was never getting near the reservation.

"You'll have to talk to Sam. He's the Alpha."

**During Meeting between Alice, Carlisle, Jacob, and Sam**

"On the phone, you said that you were aware of this. How did you know that Victoria was coming?"

"Well, we really didn't know for sure but Bella said that she saw Victoria and a bunch of other bloo-vamps coming in a dream that she had. We decided that we would just keep an eye out for them.

The female and Carlisle shared a look and then focused at the task at hand.

"I can see them. They are going to be here in two days. There are twenty-four of them. By the time that they get here, there should be less," the little female said knowingly.

"Listen, we can take out that many by ourselves but there might be some that get hurt. My proposition is that we work together and get rid of this army as fast as possible," Carlisle said.

Sam would never go for that, I thought. Working with the leeches...right.

"I think that is the best option."

"What!" I exclaimed.

"Sit Jake. Compose yourself." I sat and tried to keep my temper under wraps.

"What do you think we should do to keep Bella safe?" asked Carlisle.

This was going to be a very long day full of stinky bloodsuckers.
