Quoia POV:

Today was our second day in Forks. It was 7:30 in the morning and Kelsey still wasn’t awake yet. She usually slept until seven or eight on a good day. Normally I would have woken her up by now but I had decided to just let her sleep this morning because Chase definitely wouldn’t be up until at least 10:00 at the earliest. If I planned on doing anything at all this summer I would definitely have to get them both alarm clocks that would go off at six or seven everyday.

My stomach growled once again and I decided it was time to find food around here somewhere. Walking downstairs I heard footsteps. Someone else was awake. I almost turned back but as I stepped on the step it creaked blowing my cover. I was in my pajamas, which consisted of nothing but a tank top and soccer shorts.

“Um hi.” Mike’s voice came from the kitchen. Perfect. I thought, rolling my eyes and walking into the kitchen.

“Hi, your name is Mike right?” I asked him playing stupid.

“Yeah.” he said before looking down at his pajamas, realizing they had transformers all over them. I snickered, a big mistake, he then looked me up and down before leaving the kitchen quickly. I could have sworn I heard him mutter something that sounded like “Damn.” under his breath.

Kelsey POV:

I yawned and rolled over. Where was Quoia? “Quoia?” I said tiredly my voice cracking.

“Hi.” She said from the corner, reading her book. She was already dressed and ready for the day. “You should go get ready, take a shower. We can leave when you’re done. I don’t think anyone, except Mike, is awake.” She came over and helped me up as if to make her point more prominent.

I walked to the bathroom in a daze shutting the door and locking it before I showered. The warm water woke me up a little. Quoia was right, as always, about these things.

I got out of the shower and then realized what I had forgotten in my daze. There were towels but I had forgotten clothes.

“Crap.” I said grabbing a towel and wrapping it around myself. Looking down I realized my clothes were soaked. The shower must have leaked. This wasn’t exactly a great day so far. I thought to myself.

I could see only three options in this situation. Option 1, I could just sit here in the bathroom until someone came to save me from this misery. Option 2, I could wear my dirty, wet pajamas making my shower absolutely pointless. And finally option 3. I could yell for Quoia to come bring me clothes. None of the options sounded to great at the moment.

And then a fourth option presented itself to me. No one was awake yet, according to Quoia. I could run into our room and change and no one would be any wiser about this whole “episode”. That could work! I smiled at my brilliancy.

Listening to the sounds beyond the door I couldn’t hear anyone moving around. Here goes…everything! I thought before fastening my towel around me tightly and running out the bathroom door. I looked back once making sure no one was coming out of my uncle’s room or Mike’s room as I turned the corner. One glance back wasn’t too smart. As I had glanced back I had turned the corner to get to my room. I crashed into something.

“Um. Good morning?” It was Tyler.

“Tyler? What are you doing here? Didn’t you leave last night?” I asked forgetting my appearance.

“Every few nights I sneak back in around midnight or so. Last night I fell asleep, Mike didn’t wake me up and neither did Chase so I’m guessing they fell asleep right after me.

“Oh.” I was still surprised he was here. “I thought I heard someone playing guitar hero last night.” I muttered under my breath, to low for Tyler to hear.

“So what exactly are you doing?” Tyler asked.

“What do you mean? I’m standing here talking to you!” I said confused.

“Kelsey, I hate to break it to you but um, you’re kind of standing here talking to me wearing nothing but a towel.” He smiled, trying not to laugh and stare at me too long.

“Oh!” I said shocked. “Um will you excuse me?” I said zipping past him into our room. I could still hear him laughing at me.

A week later, Kelsey POV:

“I’ll be back!” I shouted to my uncle Mark before walking out the front door into the sun. I loved this weather. Today it was a sunny summer day, remarkable for this rainy town of Forks. Today was tank top weather. It was warm enough for me to go out in a tank, shorts, and flip-flops without people looking at me like I was crazy.

The drive to the grocery store was short. It wasn’t that far away and was easy to get to, just off the highway. I had offered to grocery store today because it would help me get out of the house and have time to enjoy the great weather.

I looked at my list while I walked around, shopping. “Salad, tomatoes, carrots, and celery” I said to myself reading the first few items on my list. Disgusting. I thought as I picked up the vegetables on the list. I wasn’t much of what you’d call a ‘healthy eater’. I was more of a fast food person but my aunt wouldn’t have any of that. She thought I should eat as many green foods as possible and was gladly preparing them daily.

I thought to myself, ignoring where I went. Stupid vegetables. I thought to myself continuing on. This summer I’m going to have to live off of what I can sneak from the local Wendy’s. I was thinking of all the different things I could be eating instead of steamed vegetables every night. That must have been why I missed the “wet floor” sign. I slipped in my flip-flops right into what felt like a rock statue before almost falling to the ground

He caught me. “Hi.” I said realizing how hot this guy holding me was. He just smiled like he could read my thoughts and I blushed, my face always gave me away. Wow he sure smells good! I thought to myself.

“Hello. I am Edward Cullen. What brings you to Forks?” he said still holding onto me.

“Mike Newton is my cousin, I’m visiting for the summer. What brings you to this grocery store?” I said before thinking Oh great. I’m babbling again. He laughed at my question though before answering. His laugh was like honey.

“Well you know, one has to eat,” he answered. His accent seemed like something out of one of Jane Austen’s books. I smiled too. His smile was contagious.

“Ahem. Edward?” I heard a woman’s voice from behind us. She had short black hair, no taller than 4 foot 8 inches at the most. Edward seemed to realize he was still holding onto me, our faces inches apart. He let go of me slowly, not looking away from my eyes. “Ahem.” The girl said again. She grabbed Edward by the arm and pulled him away.

I hurried home after finding my cart and finishing my shopping. As soon as I walked into the house I put the groceries away and walked upstairs. Nearing the top I heard Quoia sighing inside our room. What book is she reading this time? I asked myself nearing the door. I walked into the room to see her with her face pressed up against the window. I chuckled to myself before speaking.

"Quoia, what are you doing to that window?” I said and she just sighed before turning to me.

“You know the normal.” She smiled before turning back to the window.

“Which normal are you talking about? Reading or guy watching?”

“The second.” She glared at me before continuing. “I’m looking at the hottest guy I have EVER seen. No that would be the Greek god I ran into at the grocery store! I thought before walking over and sitting beside her at the window. Outside the window was Edward, the Greek god from the grocery store.

“Speak of the devil and he shall appear.” I muttered to myself smiling. “I know that guy.” I said to her, getting a glare in return.

“How does that work out? We’ve been here for a week and you’ve already found the hottest guy here. Not to mention he followed you home.” a hint of laughter in her voice. And then, as if on cue, Chase walked in.

"Hey guys who are you panting after this time?” he said, seeing Quoia near the window. There was jealousy in his eyes. I never had really thought about all that Quoia had told me about her suspicions. She believed that he loved me but every time she had suggested it I had denied it. How could Chase, my best guy friend, love me as more than a friend? I wouldn’t believe it.

“Seriously though, who?” he joked a little more seriously. Quoia and I both smacked him at the same time, before laughing.

"I wasn't panting. I believe the word is reveling. He is gorgeous but Kelsey has already gotten to him.” she said, rolling her eyes. Chase looked at me like Quoia’s words had hurt him before he left the room. He was definitely pissed and didn’t hide it.

The doorbell rang and I ran downstairs to get it, Quoia at my heels.

Chase POV:

I left Kelsey and Quoia’s room. Who was this guy anyways? He couldn’t be as gorgeous as Quoia had said. I walked into my room and lay on my bed before Mike walked in. He mumbled something to me that sounded like “Why does every girl that ever visits Forks have to fall in love with Cullen?”

So. Greek God had a last name? I would crush him like a bug if he tried anything with Kelsey. She didn’t know how much I felt for her but I wasn’t going to sit back and watch while another man took her away.
