I was stuck in a vision.
Edward caught a blond girl before she slipped and fell on the ground.
“Hi.” she said a smile forming on her face. Edward smiled at what must have been her thoughts and she blushed.
“Hello. I am Edward Cullen. What brings you to Forks?” he said still holding the girl, never looking away. He was transfixed. This girl was consuming his complete attention.
“Mike Newton is my cousin, I’m visiting for the summer. What brings you to this grocery store?” The girl asked. Edward laughed at her question and I couldn’t blame him, it was pretty random.
“Well you know, one has to eat,” he answered. She seemed to be thinking about something when Edward smiled again. And then she smiled.
I broke out of the vision and quickly began searching the grocery store for Edward. Where could he be? I thought to myself trying not to walk around too fast, there were humans in here. I found him. I froze seeing my vision happen right in front of me in the milk isle.
“Ahem. Edward?” I said walking up behind them when I snapped out of it. Edward seemed to realize he was still holding onto the girl, their faces inches apart. He let go of her slowly, not looking away from her eyes. “Ahem.” I said again. What was that? I thought to him causing him to finally look up. I walked up and pulled him away by the arm. Instantly I could see Edward’s different plans to see this girl again. He didn’t even know her name. What would happen to Bella if she found out? Would she become a zombie again?
Edward and I talked in hushed tones while I drove us home in the car. It was the longest ride from the grocery store ever.
“Alice, I don’t know what happened back there, it just did. Something about that girl is drawing me towards her like a magnet.” Edward said thinking about what it could mean.
“What do you mean?” I asked him. How could a simple human have such a pull on him? I wasn’t pulled towards her, was I? And she isn’t Bella. I thought to myself as I pulled into the garage. Edward was hearing everything I thought.
I would definitely have a lot to be thinking about tonight.
Was I being a fool? I didn’t know. After all of Alice’s warnings I was sitting here in front of Newton’s house, the last place I thought I’d ever be.
He is so hot! I read a girl’s mind as she watched me from the window. Where was that girl I had seen? This other girl’s mind didn’t sound like her. The girl sighed again.
"Quoia, what are you doing to that window?” The girl I’d been waiting for said and Quoia just sighed turning around.
“You know the normal.” Quoia smiled before turning back to the window.
“Which normal are you talking about? Reading or guy watching?” The girl asked. Why does Kelsey automatically assume I’m reading or guy watching? She knows me too well. Quoia thought to herself. So she has a name. I thought smiling.
“The second.” Quoia glared at Kelsey before continuing. “I’m looking at the hottest guy I have EVER seen. No that would be the Greek god I ran into at the grocery store! Kelsey thought making me smile
“Speak of the devil and he shall appear.” She muttered to herself looking out the window at me and then smiling. “I know that guy.” Kelsey said to Quoia, getting a glare in return.
“How does that work out? We’ve been here for a week and you’ve already found the hottest guy here. Not to mention he followed you home.” a hint of laughter in Quoia’s voice. And then another guy their age walked into the room.
"Hey guys! Who are you panting after this time?” he said, seeing Quoia near the window. There was jealousy in his eyes. Why can’t she look at me like that? I heard him think.
“Seriously though, who?” he joked a little more seriously. Both girls smacked him at the same time, before bursting out laughing.
"I wasn't panting. I believe the word is reveling. He is gorgeous but Kelsey has already gotten to him.” Quoia said, rolling her eyes. Chase looked at Kelsey like Quoia’s words had hurt him before he left the room. He was more than pissed and didn’t hide it.
Time to ring the doorbell. I thought to myself getting up off the curb before walking up to Mike’s door. I looked at the doorbell, took a deep breath, and rang it. I instantly heard both girls running down the stairs to get it after realizing I was no longer sitting on the curb.
