2. LOOKING BACK AT MYSELF
Rating 4.5/5 Word Count 472 Review this Chapter
I slowly opened my eyes. No more pain. The fire was extinguished, and I felt great! I glanced around the room to find that I was alone. I turned my head back up to glare at the ceiling, attempting to remember what had happened before the pain. Angel, teeth, pain. That was all I could come up with.
Then it hit me…the marriage last weekend, my angel…Edward, his promise to turn me. Oh my GOSH! He turned me! I couldn’t contain the smile on my face. He does love me. My no longer beating heat filled up. Finally! I couldn’t contain it, and the smile turn into ridiculously large grin. I was in Edward’s room and sprung off of the leather couch. When I chanced a look back at it, and realized all the rips and tears were from my teeth and fingers. I glanced down at my hands. WOAH! My once chewed nubs were now long, gorgeous, and perfectly manicured. Oooops, I guess I should work on that. I hope Edward isn’t too upset.
I looked past my fingers and gasped. The slightly baggy clothes that I had worn just a couple days, now fit and conformed to curves I never know I had, and my legs looked longer. I ran over to Edward’s floor length mirror at an inhuman pace, and almost fell over with shock.
My hair was shining and full with curls and waves everywhere. My face was suddenly in proportion, everything in the right place, it was more angular… yet still soft… somehow. My once creamy skin was a vibrant white and marble like, and I had large dark circles under my crimson red eyes. At the sight of my eyes my mouth fell open. Underneath my perfect soft lips lay a row of strait, gleaming, sharp white teeth. I love the new me! I looked almost worth of Edward.
I realized that I’d been wearing the same clothes for the past three days, and ran over to Edward’s closet intending to just pull on one of his T-shirts, but when I opened the door, I found that half the closet was filled with female clothes. “Alice” I muttered under my breath, as I attempted to squeeze into a particularly tiny halter-top and mini jean skirt, all designer clothes of course.
I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen, leaning against the refrigerator. I was surprised that I had made it all the way down without tripping. Six vampires sat in a semi-circle facing away from me, completely oblivious to the fact that I had just joined them in the room. “ Well I certainly enjoy the speed,” I mumbled under my breath. Suddenly six shocking beautiful faces whipped around to stare at me, with open mouths.
