Bella's POV: (Finally!)

The tree just above me swayed ever so slightly again, causing more leaves to fall around me and grace the floor with their presence. I picked a leaf off of my shoulder and sighed softly. Every leaf was so different…of course similarities resided, but each leaf was special in it's own way.

"Bella darling?" Esme's soft voice came from behind me. I twisted around and smiled at her, seeing her watch me while planting more seeds into the ground.

"Yes, mom?" I asked, making her smile. She loved it when we called her mother…

"How was your day today?" She asked casually, curling a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"Oh, it was nice. You know the usual, kids staring, people freaking out about something as casual as a new student," I said, tracing the stems of the orange leaf in my hand.

"A new student? Was it Chief Swan's son?" Esme asked, looking up. I shrugged and nodded.

"Yes, his name is Edward. He is in my Biology class."

"Really? Is he nice?"

"Yes, he said hello, although I suppose he was more interested in the way I looked more than anything else," I grimaced slightly. Of course a new person would immediately be drawn to our physical stature---we were designed that way to appeal to our prey.

"Please tell me you were polite?" Esme sighed, gracefully standing up and brushing the dirt away from her planter's overalls.

"Mother, when am I not?" I blinked innocently, letting a slight smirk paint my face. She rolled her eyes but smiled also, picking up her tools. I got up from my comfortable spot in the grass, following her inside the house.

"You must realize how easily you judge, Bella," she replied, putting her things away.

"I don't judge on false pretenses, I assure you."

"Yes, but still, you must be willing to overlook the imperfections," Esme said, laying her hand on my cheek softly. She smiled kindly and moved my hair back, using her motherly affection.

"Don't worry about me, Esme. I'll find the one for me, and then you can shower him with your sweetness," I laughed as her eyes narrowed playfully.

"I'll show you sweetness, missy!" A cheesy voice came from upstairs. Emmett came bounding down the stairs in evident happiness…Rosalie followed him, fixing her hair and smiling. They were supposed to be 'watching a movie'.

"Emmett, look, you dropped something!" I exclaimed, pointing at the floor next to his feet. He immediately looked down and saw nothing.

"What?" He asked, confused.

"You're dignity!" Alice laughed, coming in and plopping down on the sofa.

"Alice, just because you can see the future doesn't mean you can ruin my jokes!" I glared at her. She just grinned back and winked at me.

"So Bella, how was Biology today?" Rosalie smirked, pinching me playfully in the elbow. I gaped at Alice, who had the decency to at least look a bit ashamed.

"You told her?!" I gasped.

"I'm sorry! She asked for something interesting and I couldn't pass up the opportunity!" She apologized.

"Relax, I only told her about the conversation, not the other vision."

"The other vision?" I felt my eyes widen. "What other vision?"

"Whoops! I wasn't going to tell you about that one…" She bit her lip.

"Alice Cullen!" I exclaimed, pointing my finger at her. She laughed and stood up, preparing to run away from me.

I suddenly went completely still. Closing my eyes, I rubbed my fingertips together and when I opened my eyes, Alice was frozen. She had her mouth open and one foot in mid-air.

"Heehee," I grinned. I walked up to her and checked her pockets, seeing that she had a tube of lipstick in her back pocket like always. I took the stick and grinned.

"Oh wow. This is going to be amazing…" Emmett murmured, grinning and taking a seat next to Rosalie, who was chuckling. I made sure that Esme was still in the kitchen and quickly flicked off the cap.

The bronze color of lipstick reminded me vaguely of Edward Swan's hair. I grimaced before I shook off the disturbing memory. I wrote "FREAK" in large letters across Alice's small forehead. Emmett's laugh echoed through the house and Rosalie could barely control the giggles erupting from her own mouth. Quickly, I closed the tube and slipped it back into Alice's pocket, running over and taking my original position.

Closing my eyes again, I rubbed my fingertips and snapped my fingers. I opened my eyes, just in time to see Alice run away---she never felt me freeze her…

"Alice! I'm letting you go, you don't have to run away!" I said, making her zoom back and grin at me before sitting down. I heard the front door open and grinned back at her. She stood up, looking confused as to why Emmett and Rosalie were laughing.

"Jazz…" Alice smiled as Jasper came into view. He was smiling also, until he saw her face, and then his jaw dropped.

"Uh…Alice? You have something…Bella?" He looked at me. Alice was even more confused and I watched quietly as she caught her reflection in her husband's eyes. She gasped, running to the mirror next to the living room. I burst out laughing when she gave a shriek.

"ISABELLA MARIE MASEN CULLEN!" She screamed. Esme ran out, looking between Alice and I, then sighing.

"Yes, my lovely, darling, adorable, freaky sister?" I blinked innocently again. I got about a half-second head start before she started to chase me through the house. I was a little slower than all the vampires, but I could hold my own. I ran out the back door and we both laughed as we raced around our very large backyard.

She finally caught me, tripping me while I turned the corner.

We rolled around, giggling and pulling each other's hair. Emmett came and pulled the two of us apart while roaring in laughter, and Esme came with a wet towel and started to wipe off my special word from Alice's forehead.

"Just for that, I'm buying you a whole new outfit!" Alice yelled at me while taking Jasper's hand and leading him to their room. Emmett and Rosalie went back upstairs, planning to 'watch another movie'. Did those two ever do anything else?

"Bella, are you ever going to stop doing that?" Esme scolded me, although I could see her lips twitching, trying to hold back a smile.

"Ah, Esme. You know they deserve it…" I laughed and ran up to my room.
