Edward P.O.V.

Look at you sitting on that tailgate

All barefoot beautiful, and brown-eyed

I had cleared an inconspicuous pathway to the meadow so that Bella’s truck could make it through. I was hidden by foliage, and a road sign, so no one would come here.

I sat and watched her… god she was beautiful. I would do anything for her. I propped up on my shoulder in the grass to look at her better. She was sitting on the open tailgate of her truck.

She had kicked her shoes off, and her bare feet was gorgeous flowing softly upward into that tiny ankle… she was so breakable. My eyes continued to roam upwards to her calves. The sculpted muscles contracted and released as she swung her legs gently off the end of the tailgate. Her brown-eyes glowed as she looked gently off into the trees with a far away look.

Damn… What I wouldn’t give to get only a glimpse into her mind. Just for a few moments, especially in times like these. Times when her eyes gleamed and a slow blush crept up her cheeks obviously indicating what she was thinking about. She wanted, what I was willing but cautious to give her. I would never understand her. She was much to complex. She had begged for weeks to have it, and then when I want to give it to her she refuses… but I could never stay angry at her for long.

Just watching you breathing

Is blowing me away

My breath caught in my throat as her creamy neck stretched upwards toward the sun. She inhaled deeply taking in the smells of the flowers and moss around her. Her chest rose gently and then fell as she took in yet another breath.

Her nostrils flared slightly, and I shivered slightly as I though about just how beautifully her face was shaped… how soft her body was. Especially when she was cradled in my arm. He sweet flesh filled my fridged hands, and for only then do I get a true taste of warmth.

There was another heat that I had never known before as well. A heat that filled my body from head to toe every time our lips touched.

A delicious pain that filled my body at the thought of more than a kiss.

All I can think about tonight…

I could not wait for our wedding night… I could not at all…

Somebody find me a preacher

Somebody find me a man

With a bible, who can tie a knot

I know what I’ve got

I know who I love

Track him down, Wake him up

Right here right now

In this Washington [Tennessee] dirt

No long white dress, no little white church

Just you in your cut off jeans

And my old t-shirt

Somebody find me a preacher…

I can’t wait another minute w ith you on my lap

And you’re back against the wheel

The sky had darkened quickly after that, and the rain was pounding hard against the windshield. She sat in my lap, her shoulder blades lying lightly on the steering wheel.

She looked at me intently as in she were sucking in my very life force into her, and giving hers to me. Suddenly with a passion that made me shake she leaned forward and pressed her beautiful, full lips to my mouth…

She was soft and warm, and I melted into the taste of her, all the while being extremely cautious to keep my lips firmly closed no matter how much I wanted to open them and let her into me.

I needed to truly kiss her so much. I feel her sweet tongue running over mine in a gesture of ecstasy, and trust.

I felt her warm fingers, running lightly over the contours of my shoulders, lightly tracing the muscles through the thin linen of my shirt. I shivered at her touch. She was so gentle with me, it was almost as if she though that if she got rough she would lose me.

It was her soft innocent touch that made me want her all the more.

I wanted her… needed her, all of her… physically, emotionally, mentally, and eternally.

I ain’t got no diamond here to give ya

But if this is how loving you feels

My mother’s engagement ring was at home… safely tucked away in Bella’s jewelry box for safe keeping. I secretly thought that it was just an excuse not to wear it out in public, but then again maybe her reservations toward wearing it were for Charlie’s sake instead of her own.

The wedding band was at the jewelers, getting customized… as corny as it was I know that Bella would cherish it. It was a simple platinum band that had the words “For all eternity…” engraved inside.

It was simple… It was Bella.

It was a representation of our love.

Smooth, never-ending, and beautiful.
