Broken Souls

Summary:
Chapter 8: "They should make cheese flavored blood,” Emmett commented randomly. This is the sequel to Broken Love!!! There's something stranged happening to Nadalie. It's something both Alice and Emily saw coming but hoped it would never come true. Now everybody's in danger from Nadalie, not just the vampires.

Notes:
So here it is, the sequel! As you all probably know I do not own most of the character, the places, etc.. It all belongs to Stephenie Meyers! I do however own Nadalie, Emily Adeline (soon to be Emily Clearwater), and a few of the werewolf's imprints.

1. Prologue and Chapter 1: I Do... Forever.

Broken Souls

Prologue (Emily’s POV)

All of this was my fault. If I had never come looking for Jasper then none of this would have happened. It was my fault that Esme was dead and Rosalie was being destroyed at this moment. It was my fault that Embry was being hurt because Nadalie was a monster. Yet the small selfish voice in the back of m head whispered that I was glad I had come. If I hadn’t I would never have met Seth.

These thoughts swirled through my mind as I ran to save the future of people that I loved. The werewolves, the vampires, Noelani, all of them were suffering and it was my job to put it right.

Chapter 1: I Do... Forever

Ding dong. The doorbell echoed down the hallway and into Seth’s room where he and I sat playing video games. I was winning by a lot. Seth was becoming increasingly frustrated.

“Emy it’s for you!” Seth’s mom called.

I jumped to my feet and turned off the TV. Seth was still frowning as he also got to his feet and followed me into the living room. A tiny vampire, barely taller then me, with short black hair was stepping through the door way. Her golden eyes shone with excitement.

“Alice!!!” I squealed.

I flew across the room to yank her into a hug. She giggled and hugged me back. I hadn’t seen Alice or any of the Cullens since they left Forks four months ago. Seth had proposed to me three days ago. That was only one week after his 18th birthday. We wanted a quick engagement so our wedding was in two weeks. The Cullens had come up early so that they (in other words Alice) could help plan (more like take over).

“It’s so good to see you Em!” Alice said.

“I know!” I exclaimed.

“Well, ready to do some wedding planning?” she asked.

I sighed, “Sure. I’ll be back in a few hours Seth.”

He crossed the room to pull me against his chest. He stroked my hair and breathed in my scent.

“Miss you already,” he murmured.

Then he bent down to kiss me. I stood on my toes to make it easier for him. After a minute or so Alice cleared her throat impatiently and we broke apart. I laughed.

“See you later Seth.”

Alice and I took off for the old Cullen house. We burst through the door to have all of the Cullens mob me and crush me into hug after hug. We were all laughing and teasing like they’d never left. I glanced around and noticed that someone was missing.

“Where’s Carlisle?” I asked.

“He’s in his study. He’s still really depressed over what happened to Esme.” Jasper said quietly.

Everybody was suddenly serious. I closed my eyes and let the memories wash over me. They brought back sadness, despair, pain, and guilt. I allowed Esme’s motherly face to momentarily fill my mind. Then I opened my eyes and concentrated on breathing right to distract myself.

“Well are you ready to start planning?” Alice finally broke the pained silence.

“Sure, I’m so looking forward to it,” I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes in a pathetic attempt to lighten the mood.

To my surprise it worked. Edward chuckled and everybody relaxed and went back to their conversations. Alice grabbed my arm and dragged me to her room. I prepared myself for a lot of decision making. She shoved picture after picture under my nose.

The next day at 8:00 a.m. I finally returned to the Clearwater’s home. Seth was freaking out the moment I walked in the door. He looked absolutely exhausted.

“Where were you? Do you have any clue how worried I was? That was much more then a few hours! You could have called or at least taken your cell phone so that I could call you! I stayed up all night worried out of my mind! I came very close to crossing the border line!!!” he ranted.

I knew at once that he wasn’t going to be stopping any time soon. He was most likely going to go on and on. I felt really bad about not calling though.

“Do you have any idea at all how much...” he was cut off mid word as I jumped up to kiss him.

“You were saying?” I whispered against his lips.

“Never mind.” He shrugged.

About Two Weeks Later

“You look perfect!” Rosalie sighed as she clasped a silver necklace with a delicate diamond star on it around my neck as a finishing touch.

“Definitely,” Bella agreed.

“Absolutely gorgeous!” Alice added.

“Thanks,” I smiled.

I wished that my mother and father could see me now. They’d be so proud of their little girl. Esme should be here too but she wasn’t. Instead she was up in heaven. I pushed the painful thoughts away and turned gracefully in my silver high heels and beautiful wedding dress.

“Alright,” I said, “let’s go.”

We left the dressing room and made our way into the forest. Carlisle was waiting for me and we got into our positions. He would be walking me down the aisle. I peered into the clearing we were being married in. Its beauty struck me just as much as it had the first time I’d seen it. Alice had done a fabulous job.

It was starting to get dark so you could see the candle lights from inside clear glass balls hung all around the outside edge of the clearing. The aisle was lit by little flower shaped lights. At the end was an arch made from entwined branches. Two silver bells hung from it.

The music started playing and I watched our flower girl, little five year old Clair skip down the aisle scattering pink rose petals. Bella was my maid of honor and Jacob was Seth’s best man. I felt dizzy when it was finally my turn.

Carlisle gently led me and I was aware of all the eyes staring at me. Then I looked up, saw Seth, and there was nobody else. He was stunning. Our eyes met and I stumbled slightly. Quite suddenly I was standing next to him and the vows were being read. It all passed in a blur. Before I knew it I was saying ‘I do’ and Seth was kissing me. Everybody started clapping and I pulled gently away from Seth.

“I do Seth. Forever and ever,” I whispered in his ear.

“Forever Mrs. Emily Clearwater,” he agreed with a soft laugh before leaning in to kiss me again.
