"Sweetheart, wake up." A soft voice came, blowing cold, sweet air into my right ear. I would know that voice anywhere, anytime.

"Baby," I smiled, keeping my eyes closed, "love you, Emily."

I reached out blindly and was granted with her wrist. I put my arm around her waist and pulled her into bed next to me. She gave a small yelp as her head hit the plump pillow and I laughed, sneakily burying my nose into the crook of her neck.

I opened my eyes to look into her beautiful chocolate brown ones. I leaned up and kissed the scars that were forever indebted into the right side of her gorgeous face. When I reached her tender pink lips, I gave her a kiss that nearly caused her to faint.

"Love…you…too" She said breathlessly, and circling her arms around my neck.

"Happy Valentine's Day," I whispered into her silky black hair. She laughed and I looked up.

"More like Happy Valentine's night," She said. I gasped and turned my head to look out the window.

"Oh man," I groaned. "It's night?! I slept through the entire day? Why didn't you wake me up, Emily?"

"Well, you really needed your sleep! I didn't like seeing those dark circles permanently under your eyes…" Emily pouted. I leaned over and kissed her, more gentle this time.

"So can I still take you to dinner?" I asked, smiling just for her. She nodded and pulled away the covers.

"You better since I already changed," she giggled. I looked down at her slim figure, seeing a black and white fleece dress delicately reaching down until her knees. I smiled again and trailed my fingers up her calves and reached down to kiss her knees.

"I put your clothes in the bathroom," she whispered, smiling and getting out of bed and straightening out her dress. I quickly got out of bed and ran to the bathroom.

After taking an extremely quick shower, I got dressed into a dress shirt and jeans. God, I loved Emily more than anything else in the world.

I took her out to Port Angeles, to a little restaurant called La Bella Italia. It was decorated specially for Valentine's day, soft candlelight glowing on each of the red tables. We sat in a booth towards the back of the restaurant, and the candles illuminated her gorgeous face.

"I love you Sam," she whispered after we had ordered our food. She had gotten spaghetti, while I had opted for meatball fettuccini. I smiled and reached over, holding her hand.

"I love you too, Emily. You're my everything," I told her, my heart throbbing with sincerity.

After dinner, I drove over to the beach and quickly set up a small fire. We laid down next to the fire, my arm being her pillow as she snuggled into my side.

"I'm sorry I slept through our Valentine's Day…" I sighed, tracing indefinable shapes onto her arm. She sighed also, trailing her nose onto my collarbone.

"Well, I'm sorry that you're sorry, but I'm not. I didn't need the entire day to know how much we love each other," she snickered softly.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Emily. I love you more than anything else in the world." I told her, stroking the nape of her neck.

"Happy Valentine's Day to you too, Sam. I love you," She whispered softly. I reached down and kissed her, planning to hold her for the rest of my life.
