Work sucked. Karmen and I had only been there for 3 months and we had already been asked out about 100 times each, and we desperately wanted to get to America.
But according to our calculations we only need to work for one more week, and then we would have enough money to get to America.
Karmen and I had work tonight. So we slowly got ready and slowly got to the car.
Everything seemed so much slower have to go at a humans pace. No wonder why Rosalie *wince* Cullen hated going shopping with me. But what I do wonder is why Edward *wince* Cullen actually put up with me. I really did think about him. Actually I thought about him a lot. I had a four whole note books of my memories with him and just things that I miss or that I liked about him. Karmen thought I was obsessed, but I knew better. I KNEW I was obsessed.
ONE WEEK LATER.
As we got off the plane, I breathed in the much missed air of rain and wet grass, and now it was even stronger. Karmen and I together had two back packs, so it didn't take us long to get out of the airport. We walked straight out of the glass sliding doors, and just started walking. We walked out to the freeway and continued to walk. We got honked at a lot, but we ignored them. I pulled Karmen when I saw an opening in the trees. I looked around and made sure that there were no cars going by, and I pulled her straight into the forest and we took off. We ran fast, really fast. It felt exhilarating running in such a familiar area. I slowed when I started t smell another presence.
"Karmen... There is someone near." I hissed.
"I know. I can smell him."
"It's a Him?" I questioned.
"It has more or a sharp scent rather that smooth. It hits you harder."
I just nodded. Sometimes I just thought she made the stuff up to make her sound smarter.
But as usual she was right. Not many moments later, we were approached by a male. He was by himself.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"I am Karmen and this is Isabella. And you?"
"Keith." He said confidently.
"Are you alone?" I asked.
"Yes. Is it just you two?" He answered hesitantly.
"Ye-" I started.
"Would you like to join us?" Karmen asked with pure desire.
"Yes. I would." He said looking directly at her.
"Alright you two... Please, can we get a move on? I want to hunt and get to a room before dark." They snapped out of the gaze at each other when they finally noticed I existed. I rolled my eyes and took off.
"Stop!" said Keith in a stern voice. And we all listened. "They are werewolves in this area. You will want through the water. Follow me." He said as he grabbed Karmen's hand.
We ran and then swan, drenching our clothes, but it was worth not having to see Jacob, and explain everything.
The years after meeting Keith went by quickly.
I was now 40 years old, or 22 in vampire years.
In those 12 years. Karmen and Keith got married. The Volturi found us, but strangely decided to let us go, and I got a job as a lawyer.
Karmen and Keith posed as my sister and brother in law.
Karmen didn't work, but Keith was going to school to be a doctor.
"Bella?" asked Keith.
"Sure, why not?"
"Can I talk to you... alone?" he said looking at Karmen. She narrowed her eyes as we left the house.
We ran out of hearing distance before we stopped by a river.
We now lived in Portland, Oregon. Close to Forks, but not too close.
"So what do you need?" I asked folding my arms across my chest.
"I'm sorry." He said walking backwards into the shadows.
I tilted my head to the side in confusion.
He looked down at his feet as a sob escaped his mouth.
Before I knew it I was on the ground.
"It's been too long Bella my deary." The red haired demon hissed in my ear.
"Yeah. Way too long." I said jamming my elbow into her stomach. It was strong enough to get her off of me.
I quickly stood up and turned around.
But Victoria was ready first. she hit me square in the jaw and then kicked my in the stomcah. And I fell to the ground.
My mouth was full of vemon and I itched to attack her, but I knew i couldn't win, so I just laid on the ground in defeat.
When I looked up.
Victoria was sitting Indian style on the ground just mere feet away from me.
"Sit." She ordered.
"I'd rather not."
"Sit!" she said more sternly. And I was pushed to the ground by someone behind me. I looked and it was Keith.
I looked up at him pleadingly, but he just looked away. I could tell he was hurt by having to do this to me, but I didn't understand why he was listening to her.
"Thank you Keith. You may go now."
"I don't think I will."
"Uh, yeah you will. I don't think you want to have a repeat of what happened last time." She said raising an eyebrow.
He hesitantly turned around and walked at a human speed back to the house.
"So Bella... I see that you are back in the US. I'll tell you now. You stay away from my Edward. Got it?"
"Yeah. Sure. Why would I want him anyways? He's pathetic." I spat.
"What?" She asked leaning in closer for more information.
"Just go back to your husband. I'm sure he misses you."
"He's not my husband. He won't marry me, because of you."
"Because of me?"
"Yeah. He still loves you, but I guess he won't once he sees this in my mind. Ciao." She called as she left.
It wasn't long before I fell to the ground with sobs.
22 years. I searched. I waited. I yearned.
All for Bella. Alice was right. She was with another. She must be happy. I hope she's happy.
I was broken out of my thoughts by Victoria opening the door to our cabin. A gust of wind filled with crystals of snow surrounded her.
"Hey babe." She said as she walked up and kissed my cheek.
She seemed happier than normal.
I looked through her thoughts and saw a beautiful woman. She was more of an angel than woman. She had chocolate brown hair that cascaded in waves to the middle of her back. Her curves did not go unnoticed, but I couldn't see her face.
She was with a man. He was blonde, and tall, well compared to her. "I'm sorry," he said as he walked into the shadows.
Then Victoria charged the angel, and tackled her to the ground.
The angel elbowed her off, and turned around.
Then it went black for a while. Victoria was blocking me from something.
The next thing i say was Bella lying on the ground.
BELLA! I thought. She was even more beautiful from the front, her once brown eyes golden like honey. Her once chubby cheeks were thin and angled. Her once slouched posture was perfect, even when she was prepared to fight.
WAIT! Bella, fight?
I saw Victoria was sitting on the ground just in front of Bella.
"Sit." She ordered.
"I'd rather not." Still stubborn.
"Sit!" she said more sternly. The blonde man came behind Bella and pushed her to the ground.
Bella looked up at him pleadingly, but he just avoided her gaze.
"Thank you Keith. You may go now." Victoria said.
"I don't think I will." Said Keith.
"Uh, yeah you will. I don't think you want to have a repeat of what happened last time."
He hesitantly turned around and walked at a human speed back into the forest.
"So Bella... I see that you are back in the US. I'll tell you now. You stay away from my Edward. Got it?" A growled formed in my throat.
"Yeah, sure. Why would I want him anyways? He's pathetic." Bella spat.
That hurt. Why would she say something like that about me?
"What?" Victoria's eyes widened. Not the response she wanted.
"Just go back to your husband. I'm sure he misses you." Bella said without pain. By now I was on my knees.
"He's not my husband. He won't marry me, because of you."
"Because of me?" Bella asked taken aback.
"Yeah. He still loves you, but I guess he won't once he sees this in my mind. Ciao." Now I see why she was in such a good mood.
I quickly got out of Victoria's head, and ran to my room. I can out with a wooden box. Inside it was a velvet one. Inside that was a ring, and a promise.
