Edward has always been the picture of calm, always knows what to do, what to say, but there is one thing that unnerves him... His smile was more blinding than the glare. I smiled back, feeling lucky to be his, and only his. Forever.P.S. The banner picture is an actual picture of a place near Forks (Clallam Bay) where I pictured the setting

My whole body ached, and my stomach was still churning. I could hear muffled voices coming from somewhere around me. I could see the ceiling fan turning blurrily above me, but not much else. I realized that the ceiling was way too high to be at my house…
“Bella,” I could hear whispers far away from me, but this one was close, it was angelic.
“Edward?” I turned my head, but regretted it quickly, my head started pounding. My memory was vague, but I knew that I was in trouble with Charlie and Renee.
‘Shhh…” Edward’s voice was cool and soothing. “Bella, love,” He put his freezing hand to my cheek and slipped his other hand around my waist, pulling me into a sitting position against his waist.
I looked around me, it didn’t take long to realize that I was at the Cullens, I was in Edward’s room and the voices were no longer in the room, with me, but downstairs. “Charlie…?” I said pathetically.
“Charlie went on a walk,” Edward’s eyes tightened ever so slightly, I figured Charlie didn’t take it so well. “He says he loves you, Bella,” Edward said quietly, wrapping his arms around me. “And he sends his luck…and he says that he trusts you,” Edward looked pained to say this. “He isn’t thrilled,” Edward looked down. Charlie obviously wouldn’t be thrilled. I’m only nineteen.
“I’m sorry, Bella,” Edward looked up at me with what would inevitably be moist eyes, “I didn’t mean to — I should have realized that it was possible, and…you know, protection,” He took a shaky breath and I looked at him skeptically. “I was happy about this baby, Bella, it makes me so happy, our baby, but I didn’t realize that you weren’t thrilled with being…pregnant.” He choked out the last word.
“Oh,” was all I could say before dissolving into tears. He held me tight whispering “I’m sorry,” over and over. I wanted to tell him that I wanted it too, but I honestly couldn’t. I coughed back sobs, I knew that I didn’t have to be strong around Edward, but I wanted to be, and I had to be a big girl when Edward was feeling this way.
“Edward,” I finally managed, “I’m happy, why on earth would you think otherwise?” I glanced up at him then buried my face in his chest.
“Oh, Bella, I just thought that,” He brushed his lips over my hair and forehead a few times before continuing. “Well, Charlie pointed out that you were still very young, and—” I silenced him as I pressed my lips to his.
I wrapped my arms tenuously around his neck and deepened the kiss, Edward didn’t object but he was slightly unnerved. Once he regained his composure, he wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me on top of him. He pulled away a bit, but only a bit. “Renee is still here, you know,” I shivered as his lips brushed so slightly against mine when he smiled.
“I don’t care,” I mumbled into his lips. He let me proceed for a little while, but he pulled away. I frowned. “Too much?” I asked
He chuckled. “Mmm, no, just enough, but I think we are wanted downstairs.” He pulled me into his arms and carried me downstairs, evidently not caring what Renee thought at the moment.
“Bella!” Alice. She hadn’t seen me since I came out with the news, I braced myself for her. “Oh, Bella!” She threw her arms around me once Edward let me down. “I’m going to be an aunt! We are going to look for nursery furniture immediately. I was thinking maybe a soft blue—oh! I guess you should know that it’s a boy—”
“Alice,” Jasper hissed, trying to pry her away, “Don’t you think this is a bad time?”
“Nonsense,” She waved him off. “No time like the present!”
Before she could launch into a full blueprint of the baby’s room, I pulled her to me. I gave her a huge hug. I don’t know why, but what she just did, whatever it was, made me so happy to have her in my family. It made me ecstatic that she was going to be there to help parent our baby. “Thank you, Alice.” I felt tears streaming down my already tear-stained face.
I felt a hand on my shoulder, ‘I’ll see you later, Bells,” It was Renee, door creaked open, then creaked closed as she left the house. I gave her a smile as she walked out the door, she winked back.
I pulled away from Alice, and Edward was at my side that very second. He wrapped himself around me and rested his chin on my head. I gathered our hands together and placed them on my stomach. I could feel his chin twitch as he smiled.
Now that we were finally past telling Charlie and Renee (I felt a slight pang for Charlie), there could be a formal congratulations from the rest of the Cullens.
I looked around at all of them. Alice was beaming. Jasper had a small hint of a smile on his face; I thought he’d make a great uncle. Carlisle was staring at Edward contemplatively, but smiling all the same. Esme had a redolent look on her face, but she beamed at us as well. Emmett had a big smile plastered across his features. He was going to be great with our baby boy.
I glanced around tentatively for Rosalie. Part of me didn’t want to see her. This is, after all, what she had always wanted. I had it all. Mortality (though not my preference), a perfect, gorgeous husband, and now, a baby boy on the way. Then I caught her eye as she approached Emmett from behind. She was smiling. I was surprised, as she winked. I grinned back at her.
Lastly, I looked up at Edward, who was evidently having a silent conversation with Carlisle. I thought about how this must be for them. For Carlisle, his best friend, his son, is having a child. Something they never thought possible. But, Edward averted his gaze once he caught my peripheral view, and caught my eye. He had a huge crooked smile playing on his flawless features. I grinned up at him as he lowered his face so his forehead touched mine. He mouthed ‘I love you’ and I mouthed it back.
Edward was about to lower his mouth to mine when Alice interrupted. “Well, this calls for celebration!”
Carlisle chuckled. “It certainly does.” He gave me and Edward a furtive look.
“Bella!” Alice ran up to me. “Your baby shower. Surely, you want one?” Oh. I didn’t know if I wanted everyone to know.
“Alice,” Edward spoke for me. “Maybe the shower could be a family thing,” he narrowed his eyes slightly at her.
After many congratulations and a huge bear hug from Emmett, the Cullens gradually disappeared into their rooms. I realized that it was late and I was quite tired.
“Come on, love,” Edward whispered into my hair as he swept me up into his arms. “It’s bedtime.” I tried to protest, but it felt so good to be in his arms. It was a feeling of returned nostalgia, home, but it was better, and it was worse.
He proceeded to carry me up to his—our room. I felt my body being laid across the bed carefully. The bed springs moaned under my weight. “Bella,” Edward’s lips brushed my ear and I groaned sleepily. “Do you want to get some night clothes on?” He was whispering, I laughed nigh tclothes, he was, truly, old-fashioned.
I turned to him, seeing his small, crooked smile, and I suddenly had all the energy in the world. I put my arms around his neck and hoisted myself up to level my face just below his. “Do you want to do it?” I smiled mischievously. He chuckled, his voice was low and husky. I felt like melting.
“Of course, dear,” Edward grinned taking me in his arms. “You’re tired.” He accused.
“Not, really,” It wasn’t a lie, I would stay up all night for him. I have done it before.
“Whatever you say, love,” He mumbled into my lips, a slight hint of a smile was growing beneath his smirk. I felt his cold fingers fumble swiftly with the buttons on my jeans. His hands brushed my lower stomach and I shivered, not entirely from the icy touch. All too quickly, I was in my pajamas. “Bedtime.” Edward said cheerfully. I pouted, but I could no longer deny that I was extremely tired.
“Night, Edward,” I whispered.
“Night, love.” He breathed into my cheek. As I began drifting off to sleep, I heard Edward give a small chuckle. My head snapped up. “Oh,” He kissed my nose. “Sorry, love,” he smiled to himself.
“What is it?” I demanded quietly.
“Oh, Bella,” he was still grinning, “Alice has got big plans for this party.” I raised my eyebrows at him. I wondered vaguely about these plans of hers, I figured I should be worried, but before I could demand elaboration, he kissed me and began to hum my lullaby…
