Full Moon

Summary:
This story starts a month after Eclipse ends, and talks about what Bella will do with Jacob, because he is obviously having trouble letting go. Will she pull an Edward on him, (as if I never existed), or will Jacob get over it on his own, maybe imprinting along the way? Or maybe, just maybe, she'll run off with him and live her life as a 'wolf girl' instead of a 'vampire girl'. Or will the Volturi get her first?

Notes:
I got quite a few of my ideas for my story from another fanfiction called Consequences, by helloeverybody, posted on www.bellaandedward.com, but I also received some of my ideas from my friend Kara, who is not currently a member of this site, but is, like me, an avid follower of the Twilight series. We come up with the ideas together, and then I write the story. She is also my editor, so I would like to thank both her and helloeverybody for their ideas and their input.

Edward’s point of view

I reached over to catch Bella before she fell, carrying her unconscious body over to the couch. She had fainted-her human reactions never ceased to amaze me. I hadn’t thought she would take the news well, but that look of sheer panic on her face-I hadn’t been prepared for that. Looking at her worried expression, I almost decided not to follow through with my plan. Almost. I couldn’t let Jacob upset her again. He had hurt her so much last time. I would try not to kill him, for Bella, but I would make sure he understood that he wasn’t allowed anywhere near Bella anymore.

I stroked her face gently, waiting for her to regain consciousness. She was overreacting. No one would get hurt, not permanently anyway-I would make sure of that. I wasn’t sure how Bella would react if Jake got himself killed over her, but I knew for a fact that it would not be good. More self blame, most likely. Hopefully nothing as bad as when I had . . . as bad as last wimmerd hurt her. I had . .t tsed to amaze me. would make sure of that. rself trying tonter.

Alice walked in gracefully.

"Will she be okay?" she asked, concerned and slightly frustrated. Jacob was too close to Alaska now, and she couldn’t see a thing.

“Yes, are you ready to take over? I have to go hunt before the fight, and Jacob will be here soon.”

“Anytime,” she said, smiling impishly. “I bought her some new stuff to try on.”

I almost felt guilty leaving Bella here to be tortured. But I had to get ready for Jacob. I scribbled down a quick note to Bella, reassuring her that I’d be back soon, and left her in Alice’s care while I ran off to fight my worst enemy, and Bella’s best friend.

Bella’s point of view

I still couldn’t believe he had made Alice kidnap me again-it was so immature. I was perfectly capable of taking care of myself, and I definitely didn’t need Alice painting my toenails. Every once and a while she would get a call on her cell phone, but she would refuse to tell me who was calling and what was happening. I finally just gave up and curled up on the couch with a book-it wasn’t helping my nerves, and I couldn’t focus on the story, but it was better than being dressed up like a Barbie doll.

My brooding was interrupted by the phone ringing. I stood to answer it, but Alice, of course, got to it before I did.

“Hello? Oh, hi Charlie. Yeah, Bella’s right here.” She turned to me, handing me the phone and leaving the room to give me a little privacy.

“Hi Charlie. What’s wrong?” I asked, worried. He hadn’t called at all since I had come down here with Edward-the fact that he was calling meant that something bad had happened.

“It’s Jake. When I told him where you were, he hung up on me. No one’s seen him since. And then, the day after I last talked to him, his friends also disappeared. Is everything all right?”

Jacob’s friends . . . I fought to regain my composure.

“Yeah, dad, everything’s fine. Tell me when you find out anything about Jake, okay? Bye.” I hung up on him, fighting back tears.

“ALICE!” I screamed. She was at my side in an instant, seeing from my expression that something was wrong. I had completely lost control-I was unable to stop the tears sliding down my face. They would kill him-I knew they would. They thought he had been trying to change me, or else Jake wouldn’t have gotten so upset. But now it wasn’t just Jacob, it was the entire pack. Edward might be perfect, but he wouldn’t be able to handle them all.

“The . . . pack,” I sobbed, trying to convey the information to Alice. Her eyes widened as she realized what I meant, and why I was doubled over clutching my stomach, sobbing.

“Stay here, Bella,” she said as she ran out of the room. I just hoped she would get to Edward in time. I knew that Edward wouldn’t kill Jake, but Jake’s self restraint, I wasn’t so sure about-and with the pack involved, Edward wouldn’t stand a chance. I sat there on the floor, rocking back and forth and trying to stop the tears. Alice would get there in time-she had to.
