I was starving! I went down to the kitchen to find something to eat. I searched through our fridge and our cabinets, but I could find nothing. I found a couple muffins in a Ziploc bag after a while, though.

I had no memory of ever making muffins, but they looked so fresh and delicious! I grabbed one and raised it to my mouth.

“Stop!” the muffin squeaked, “Don’t eat me!”

“Did you just talk?” I asked the muffin.

The muffin stared at me with its gold eyes like it thought I was crazy. Wait, muffins don’t have gold eyes, and they certainly don’t stare at people, I thought. I must be delirious from hunger.

“Of course I talked.” stated the muffin looking slightly annoyed, “What kind of muffin can’t?”

“The normal kind?” I replied.

“Oh, then I guess we aren’t normal muffins then.”

“We, as in there are more crazy, talking, blueberry muffins?”

“Yes, me and my sister, Frosting”

I stared at the muffin. I MUST have been crazy to talk to a muffin with a sister named Frosting.

“You have to help us,” Another voice piped up.

I stared at the other little muffin.

“Help you with what?” I questioned.

“The evil, Vampire muffins are after us!”

Okay, so I was going crazy. I put the muffins in my coat pocket and went to the Cullen’s house to show Edward my strange hallucination muffins.

When I walked inside, Edward was coming down the stairs. He walked towards me and I took the two muffins out of my coat and held them in the palm of my hand.

“Muffins?” he said, obviously worried about my sanity.

“We’re no normal muffins,” squeaked Frosting, “We’re vampire muffins!”

Edward stared at the muffins.

“Did those muffins just talk?” He asked me?

“Yes, they talked to me too, so we must not be going crazy.”

The first muffin spoke up, “My name is Apple, and this is my sister, Frosting. We are two good vampire muffins. We each have special powers. I can turn magically baked goods into potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, and eggplants, and my sister can have complete control people’s bodies. We are in trouble and need help though. The Evil vampire muffins have teamed up with cupcakes and are out to get us. Will you help us destroy the evil muffins and the cupcakes?”

“Sure we’ll help you with your fight,” Said Edward, holding back a laugh “How hard is it to beat cupcakes and muffins in a fight?”

Probably not that hard, I thought. Even though they were magical muffins, they were still muffins

“Thanks ever so much,” said Frosting quivering with apparent joy, “We owe you guys so much!”

We showed the vampire muffins to the rest of the family, each wondering what was going wrong in our heads. As Apple and Frosting talked to them, and explained their story, they believed in talking muffins, and more importantly, agreed to help.

The muffins made themselves comfortable at the Cullen home, living in the cupboards that were never used. When the muffins were thirsty, they fed on the batter of white bread. When they weren’t hunting, they spent the rest of their time waiting for the evil muffins to arrive.
