My eyelids fluttered as I came back to consciousness, awaking from a deep sleep. With a sigh, I tried to remember what happened last night. I shivered in delight and ecstasy as the memories came flooding back. Lying in bed, I was naked and I smelled like him. The thought made me shiver again.

A burning hot arm that was currently at my waist pulled me closer to it’s body, probably thinking I was cold. I could feel his chest muscles line up with my back and stretched into him. Everything was so perfect and right and happy in the world. I didn’t want anything to mess it up.

I heard a sigh behind me and the hand moved down my waist and fingers caressed my skin. Every muscle in my body was relaxed, and I was in pure bliss. Taking a deep breathe, I could smell us…all over me, and the pillows, the sheets, and it was like he was under my skin, sieving his bliss with mine.

“You’re thinking too hard.” I heard a husky whisper behind me. “Too early in the morning to be thinking.”

“Sorry, just…reminiscing.” I giggled.

“Big word…early morning,” he groaned. A vibration went through his chest as he talked and I could feel it on my back.

“Look, the sun is out!” I smiled as I saw the bright light coming through the windows and shining down on his arm. I wondered how his body looked in the sunlight. Of course, it had been absolutely irresistible in the pale moonlight…

“You are my only sun now.” His words washed over me and I felt as if I were floating. A soft kiss was planted on my bare shoulder, and then a chin was rested on my arm. I couldn’t handle not seeing his face anymore, so I turned swiftly and looked up into his eyes.

I let my eyes wander head to toe. His hair was unbelievably messy, falling into his eyes and making him look even more sexy than imaginable. His dark eyes were dancing, and I could see my self in them. His smile looked as blissful as my own, and his neck held a small red mark.

I rose my fingers to his neck, touching the mark, noticing more as I let my gaze fall down the rest of his body. His…perfect…delicious…almost sinful body. I felt something familiar stir in my lower abdomen, and I looked back up at his face. The real shock came when I let my fingertips trail down his back, feeling scratches on his muscles.

“Did I hurt you?” I gasped. “I’m so s---”

“Don’t,” he interrupted me. “Don’t say sorry. They were the most enjoyable scratches I’ve ever gotten. I wish I could keep them.”

“What do you mean?” I asked. His hands wandered on me as he spoke, and it was hard for me to concentrate.

“Wolves like me heal quickly. The scratches will probably be gone in a couple minutes. Yours however…” he trailed off, and I felt his fingers glide over my neck. A burning sensation erupted there and I closed my eyes, cuddling into his chest.

Reliving the memories, I traced his hard muscles and heard him sigh again. Nothing could ruin this happiness…no werewolves, or family, or anything from the outside world. Just me and him, and---

Throw it away
Forget yesterday
We'll make the great escape
We won't hear a word they say
They don't know us anyway

A deep growl erupted in Embry’s chest and he reached across me, grabbing my phone from the bedside table. Looking at the caller ID, he must have thought it might be remotely important, because he handed it to me.

“Hurry,” he whispered. I smiled and flipped it open, putting it to my ear.

“Yes, Abby?” I sighed.

“Mashaal, your busted!” An urgent voice came.

“What are you talking about, Abby?” I asked, my nose wrinkling as I tried to concentrate.

“I mean you are busted, as a runaway…” She paused.

“WHAT? Are you serious?” My voice went higher and I sat up, letting the blankets fall off of me. Embry was playing with my hair, oblivious to our conversation.

“The cops recognized you,” Abby said.

“Shut up, no way!” I whimpered. That made Embry sit up and look at my face.

“Look, Paul is coming over soon. He'll explain everything.” She sounded calm, but I had just started to freak out.

Abby…” I sighed, running a hand through my hair and over my eyes.

“Ill be there soon. I swear,” she promised.

“I'm scared. What if they take me away?” I asked. Embry was now mouthing ‘what are you talking about?’ and ‘who’s taking you away?’ I just kept babbling on. “I can't handle leaving Embry and you and everything is so perfect around here…”

“Mashaal, calm down, look, just put Embry on the phone,” she said.

“Ok, here.” I handed the phone to Embry and fell back in the pillows, covering my face with the blankets.

“Abby?” I heard Embry ask. I couldn’t hear what she said, so I just listened to his side of the conversation. “Hey, what's up? Why is Mashaal babbling and about to cry?”

“Shit.” Was his next word. I smacked at his elbow and he turned to me with a worried look on his face.

“Alright,” he said.

“No prob, let's see if she'd like some ice cream,” he said, smiling worriedly at me. I pouted and nodded. I would love some ice cream right now. “Hey, did they recognize you too?"

“Yeah, geez. Her parents are gonna be pissed if they find out,” he said. I took deep breaths as I tried not to think about how my parents would react when they found me. “They're all strict and religious…” I winced.

There was a low knock on the door and we both looked out. Embry stood up, grabbing his clothes off the floor where they had been thrown last night.

“That must be Paul, I’ll talk to you later,” Embry said, and after a moment, he hung up. I crawled out of the bed and looked around at the floor.

“Where are my clothes?” I asked him.

“I don’t know. Here, where these,” he said, throwing a pair of boxers and a huge t-shirt at me.

“Hey, you planned this, didn’t you?!” I accused while fumbling to get the clothes on. He looked back at me innocently, even though I knew he planned to hide my clothes so I would have to wear his.

“Planned what?” He asked, walking down the hall and out of my eyesight. I rolled my eyes but smiled as I got up and rushed to make the bed and clean up a bit before running out to the door and nearly getting a heart attack.

Two policemen were standing on Embry’s porch, staring at me.
