Alice R. Cullen's POV
There was an awkward silence after that. No one moved but Jacob, who was absentmindedly stroking my back. In this time, I read the minds of nearly everyone there.
What is she thinking, marrying that dog?........Oh, it's so romantic......God, a werewolf and a vampire?........What the f***?!............I hope their serious......Umm........and so on.
"Well," my father sighed.
"Yes we do Alice," I blurted, louder than I needed to. Alice looked down at me, ecstatic.
"Really?" She breathed.
"Yeah. Of course. What the heck, you can be maid of honor too!" I said. Who cares what Alice did, rather, overdid. I was only getting one wedding, and I wanted it to be a good one. I could picture it now....a small but comforting audience, elaborate dresses, and a reception going til five AM. Not that Jacob and I would be there the whole time. We would have better thing to do. I smiled at the thought of it.
"Well, you two can come inside and we'll start right away! We'll have to call the florist, the caterer, of course there's the dresses, and the cake...," she babbled to herself, walking inside. I turned to my family and shrugged at their shocked faces. I helped Jake get up and we went inside.
"Is this the best idea? You know, I actually haven't proposed to you. Not that I wouldn't," Jacob added hastily.
I cringed. In my thoughts, I had promised myself to Jake, but I forgot he hadn't made the commitment.. "Um," I muttered, then broke off. Jacob Black was getting down on one knee in front of everyone.
"Alice Rosalie Cullen, I promise to love you and stay with you forever. Will you marry me please?" He asked.
"Yes!" I yelled, quicker than I needed to. He smiled. I brought him up from where he was kneeling and jumped into his arms, wrapping my legs around his waist. We kissed for a long time, enjoying it a lot. And I knew I had made the right choice. Who else would I marry?
"Oh hurry up you two, there's so much to so!" Alice said, her spiky haired head poking out fron behind the door we had yet to enter. Jacob picked me up as if I weighed nothing and walked into the house.
"So, who's going to be there?" I asked.
"Er, I can't tell because of Jacob and all, but I knew he was going to propse to you because he told me," Alice said, attempting nonchalance. I looked at Jake.
"How?" I asked.
"It was when I first imprinted on you. When I dropped you off at your house, I found her. And I had to tell someone I was in love," he explained.
So we each, after walking inside, came up with a guest list:
Wolves and imprints
Rachel and Rebecca Black
Short and simple. Alice had added the Denali coven to take up some more chairs. It was going to be huge, with blindingly white everything. Hey, It was my wedding! I'm sure my mother would freak out if she had this big of a wedding. No they just got married in a little meadow.
There was just one problem: Jake couldn't stay out of LaPush forever. And I wasn't sure I was allowed in LaPush. In the end, I would probably end up staying in LaPush. Billy had given the house to Jaocb before he died. I pushed it out of my mind for now.
Jacob Black's POV
The rest of the day passed by in a blur. I don't know how we managed to plan most of the wedding in one day, but Alice made it happen. My father had died ten years ago, but Alice was thrilled to meet Rachel and Rebecca. Both were in their late thirties and had kids. They knew everything about the Cullens and what I was. Just thinking about them made me realize how much I missed my sisters.
I glanced at Alice, hunched over a pice of paper. She looked stressed. "Hey, let's ditch this for a while. Let's go somewhere," I suggested.
"Okay," she agreed, brightening considerably. "What did you have in mind? Wait, I know!"
"What?" I was confused. Where would we go?
"It's a secret. Follow me," she crooned. She smiled mysteriously and skipped out the door.
It took a long time. We were hiking around in the forest near LaPush. The treaty was almost null and void now, but I was still wary. Alice stopped suddenly.
"Close your eyes," she whispered and slipped her hand into mine. She led me along through the woods.
And then she stopped me again. "Okay, stay there," she said and moved away. "Open," she breathed.
It was a sight that I had never imagined. Alice was standing in front of me in a small meadow. And she was sparkling. Her porcelin skin looked like glitter. Her wavy chesnut hair shone and beautifully framed her gorgeous face. I couldn't speak.
"Do you know where we are?" she asked as I dazedly walked toward her. I shook my head.
"This is my parent's meadow. They've spent so much time here, had so many memories here. They got married here. And I want to do the same," she said. Lightly, I ran my hand from her shoulder down to her hand, and gently brought my other hand behind her neck. I pressed my lips softly against hers.
Then she got, well, wild. She feverishly tangled her body with mine. We were on the ground now, rolling together. We broke apart for a moment. I stared briefly up at the darkening sky, wondering where the night would take us.
Alice Cullen's POV
It should be right....here!" I muttered to myself as I surfed through a bridal website. I had settled on it. It had looked gorgeous on her in my vision. And I would add my special touches.
The dress was as gorgeous as I had seen. God, it was beautiful. I clicked on it and immediately bought it, my credit card numbers punched in quickly.
The dress was playful and elegant. It stopped right at the knee, and poofed out with lace. It was strapless, and a very white white. I could already picture her hair, down and tied back partially with a blue ribbon. I loved it. And I knew she would too.
"I don't see why we had to come in here with you," Emmet grumbled as the dress went into my "cart." I grinned apologetically.
"You're getting your outfits too. Sorry," I said. I had dragged my entire family into my room to huddle around my laptop.
Bella looked down at me and said, "We'd better get started."
Alice R. Cullen's POV (2 weeks later)
"Oh, Alice," I breathed as I stared at my dress. The wedding was in a half hour, and everything was ready except the dress. I hugged my aunt gratefully and she helped me slip it on. I looked.....ready.
"Your dad's ready for you. He just told Jacob to get his butt up to the 'altar,'" she said, pulling me out the door. I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the tent and into the meadow.
Dad took my arm and looked at me lovingly. No words passed between us. We knew we would be alright. He was happy for me.
I watched little Macy Greeners throw flowers down the aisle, the bridesmaids all beaming at her. Macy was Rachel's youngest daughter. But it all passed in a blur. I was marrying Jacob Black. And nothing could possibly be better than this.
And then I walked, not looking at the smiling faces in the chairs, but at the smiling Jacob waiting for me. The look on his face was....something so beautiful I couldn't put words to it. It mesmerized me. I hugged dad tightly and eagerly grabbed Jake's hands. I didn't really hear Emmet saying our vows. Then I heard Jacob's clear voice say "I do." A bunch of times. Then it was my turn.
"Alice Rosalie Cullen, do you take Jacob Black to be your husband?"
"I do," I breathed.
"In sickness and in health?"
"Yes. I do."
"Until, um, death do you part?"
He stepped back and said warmly, "By the power invested in me I now pronounce you husband and wife. Jacob, you may kiss your bride."
And my heart swelled up with joy as he kissed me, his lips smiling. We pulled apart only to have him pick me up and carry me down the aisle and into the woods. We flew through the forest and arrived. He put me down in the passenger seat of his Rabbit (yes I know.) to head to the reception.
We didn't talk on the way there. We were too happy to speak. I simply kept my eyes on him, the jubilance in his face melting me. I could tell he was watching me out of the corner of his eye.
Jake was about to speak. Obviously, the wolves were pretty much the only one's eating, but it was a good thought anyway.
"I never thought I'd ever find true love. But I know now that I was meant to find it one day. Alice is just the most perfect...girl I could ever imagine marrying. And so what if she's a vampire? That just makes it even more special," he said, looking at me the whole time.
The dinner passed by quickly and then it was time to dance. A soft tune came from the piano. I grinned as I realized it was the lullaby dad wrote for me when I was human. I sighed happily as I pulled Jacob close to me and we danced the night away.
In the end, the rest of the Volturi went back to Volterra, but without Aro, they were weak. They continue to live on, but they will never bother the Cullens again.
Alice and Jacob moved into Jake's house and they lived happily for...well, forever. They ended up adopting a boy and a girl, named Jared and Leah.
The rest of the Cullens continued their existence normally for a long time. Jasper Jr. ended up marrying Tanya, a member of the Denali coven.
So really, they all lived happily ever after.
