When tonight came I was eager for William to leave and meet with David and the Cullens. I wondered what would happen with Bella. I bet nothing. They killed Victoria when I was being captured, so she is in no danger at all. But Edward would probably stay with her. When William did go to leave, he said that he wanted to patrol the area. Michel and Leonardo didn’t make a move to stop him. I hoped that everything would go as planned.

William was gone for two hours. When he came back he looked indifferent. I wondered what happened. Maybe they didn’t show up. Maybe they didn’t decide on anything. Millions of thoughts clouded my mind. William saw that I was uneasy and sent me a reassuring smile. I was filled with joy.

I couldn’t sleep. I was so excited. David was only a few miles away. And Michel kept on looking at me like I had snakes for hair and green skin. Was I acting that weird? Well, who would be joyful in the company of vampires that wanted you either dead or the living dead?

Day break came and Michel wanted to go hunting again. He was just probably tired of my jubilation and wanted a break. I was also getting very hungry. The same scenario from yesterday was carried out and I was left alone with William again.

“What’s the plan!?” I said very eagerly when Michel and Leo, it’s a lot easier to say Leo then Leonardo, left.

“Well, David is going to do an illusion of himself. The illusion is going to walk forward and beg for your life. Michel and Leonardo are distracted, the Cullens will attack. If anything goes wrong, I’ll whistle.”

“What will you do during the fight?”

“Get you out of the way.”

“Oh.” We sat and stood in silence for a while before a question sprang into my mind.

“The other day when you came back from feeding…your eyes were red, but I saw some gold specks in them…” I wasn’t sure if I did imagine them or nor, but I wanted to know.

“I drank human blood, but then I saw the Cullens. They drink animal blood and I was curious to why. I wondered if my life would be better if I didn't kill humans. I tried to hunt from animals the other day just to see if I liked it but...it was disqusting. I may try again another time but I think that I would like to wean off human blood first. I almost gagged when I drank the animal blood!"

"I hope you end up like the Cullens though. Your life may be easier if you stop killing innocents," I said trying to make the idea appeal to William.

"That's not my chosen life style yet," William said solemly.

"Well, maybe it can be." I wasn't going to give up. If He was that close to really giving up human blood, then I wouldn't stop at anything to make him do it.

"If you keep pestering me maybe I won't switch," William threatened.

"Do you want to switch?"

"I think so.

"So switch."

"REESE!" William yelled fed up. "This is not an easy decision to make!" I rolled my eyes at him.

"If I was a vampire I would drink from animals."

"I'm going to make sure that that never happens," William stated.

"Good, I don't want it to." Do I not want to become a vampire? I wasn't sure. Did I want to be with David forever? Maybe. I think so. Wouldn't being immortal get boring after a while? Did I want to go through the pain? No. Did I want to loose my humanity? No. Well that settles it. I don't want to become a vampire. But if I have to because of me dying or something like that would I let David change me? Ididb't get to finish my thoughts because Leo and Michel came back and they looked really angry. That made William nervous.

“What’s wrong, Michel?” he asked calmly. Michel just stepped forward and William went into a defense stance.

“I smell other vampires!”

“Really?” William asked calmly even though I saw a flicker of worry pas over his face.

“Yes. I do. They know we are here. I don’t know how, but they do. We have to kill the girl or change her now.. Which one will it be William?”

“Uh-Why should I decide?”

“You seem to make a lot of very logical decisions. You decide.” William looked worried, alternating glances from my to Michel’s face.

“I-Um…We should keep her alive for a few more days and flee the area. Make David chase her and begin to get impatient. He will snap and come to either plead for her life and then we’ll have him in our grasp.” William looked confident in his answer by the time he was done. I was involuntarily backing away from Michel, but didn’t get to far.

“I thought you would say that due to your treachery. I will kill her now.” Michel rushed at me then and I tried in a desperate/futile attempt to get away. I saw Michel an inch away from me and I closed my eyes, waiting for my doom. Instead of death, I heard a clash that sounded like lightning. I opened my eyes to see William tackling Michel to the ground.

“You aren’t going to kill her Michel!” William screamed in Michel’s ear.

“The hell I am!” Michel struggled against William and succeeded in getting away, but William quickly grabbed his leg and pulled him away from me. “Leonardo!” Michel yelled. Leo rushed towards me then and braced myself for the impact. Once again the impact never came and Leo was floating above me.

“You can’t keep this up, William! You can’t fight both Leonardo and me at the same time!” To make his statement serious, he loosened William’s grasp considerably.

“RUN!” William yelled to me. I hastily complied. I ran as fast as I could, which was pretty fast, from the fight. Before I was out of sight, I heard William whistle.

I was running for a while and I was running out of breath. I collapsed and fell to the forest floor. To hide myself, I dragged my self under a bush. It wasn’t comfortable, but it was better then being dead. Which I would be right then if William didn’t save me. William. I wondered how he was doing. Was he dead? Did he manage to fight of both Michel and Leonardo? He whistled so the Cullens should have came to help him. But what if one of them got away? What if Leo or Michel was searching for me right then? I crawled further under the bush. But I couldn’t stay there forever. I had to leave. I should either go back the way I came or search for a town. I crawled out from under the bush. I brushed the dirt off my clothes and started to walk forward. But I stopped. I looked around wildly. Where do I go? I had no idea where I came from. The reality hit me. I was lost. I was lost in a strange forest with or with not vampires coming to kill me.
