Innocent actions
By way of velvet fingertips
Stir the inferno
In the pit of my stomach

Soothing nails
Glide gently across my arm
Leaving trodden trails of
Vigilant goosebumps

Hushed words tickle
And thrill my earlobe
Causing shivers to
Slide up my spine

Gentle lips
Brush my forehead
And the sun cannot compare
To the heat that spreads

Every touch
Every smile
Every whisper

Leaves promises of my future
With you
