I was back again, dad's house. My room hadn't changed but then again I didn't always live here, only for 6 weeks in the summer and every other weekend. The best part of this weekend was gonna be my birthday! Finally I was going to turn 19!

"Elizabeth! Please come down here!" called dad.

"Yeah?" I asked as I bounded down the stairs.

"Were going down to the beach for your birthday with some friends of mine ok?" He asked

"Yeah, sure! Sounds great!" I exclaimed.

A few hours later I realized I had forgotten my stuff at Andria's (my mom). Great now I was going to have to go see her! She wasn't mean exactly. She just got pissed really easily.

"DAD!!!! I have to run to Andria's really quick okay?" I asked hoping that he'd stop me.

"Ya okay," He called from his bedroom. That's when I looked at the clock. Oh. It was 4 in the morning.I guess that's all the proof I needed that I was a complete space off and a night owl. I was going to wake mom up but that's life! As I drove to my mom's I saw a strange shadow in the forest. I usually loved the forest, but not at night. As I turned into her driveway I saw yet another car! I should explain Andria and I'd love to but she's one of those people who are not easily explained. She looks normal, except she's not when I'm not around and even sometimes when I am she drinks constantly. She'll go to bars and bring home a new guy, like every night. I love my mamma and all, I just think she needs mental help.Anyways, it was probably one of her boyfriends I thought grudgingly to myself. I unlocked the door and quickly shut it. Oh my god that was something I SO did NOT need to see. Fine, I'll climb in through my second story window!!!!!! Gaahhhhh!!!!!! Some people are just pros at getting on other's nerves.

After almost breaking my leg and finally making it in I grabbed my stuff and tried to make it out before the dogs started barking but, I didn't. Dumb dogs! Andria started chasing me down the street in a bathrobe drink still in her hand! Screaming "IM GOING TO KILL YOU!! YOU **** ****!" I sreamed back, "GO TO HELL YOU OLD HAG! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS KEEP ******* EVERYTHING UP!"I really wasn't going back there now she'd probably burn the rest of my stuff before I could get back!

Ugh, this is great I thought. I got so frustrated I started crying. I ran to the forest straight into the BIGGEST WOLF I had ever seen. He was a deep russet color and was very scary, not in an eat you alive style but in size. But strangly I wasn't scared he seemed to be in as much pain as me if not more. Before I knew what was happening I was comforting him! I didn't even know why I just was. It had always been my dream to be a vet therefore I constantly surrouned myself with animals. But this was the biggest wolf I'd ever seen! Even weirder was that I felt this weird deep connection with him. I leaned against him and we both cried. Well I cried and he howled which technically is crying in wolf language. I was 18 but I had to trade between parents until my 19th birthday, which was really wacky but whatever.

The wolf seemed to know the time because around 6 he got up and led me back to La Push. I gave him one last pat and a shaky smile. He smiled back. It was...nice.
