I fidgeted, not used to wearing a tux. After Bella agreed to marry the leech, she practically begged us all to come to the wedding. Not like she needed to, we would’ve anyways. She was like family-gone-amuck.

Anyways, here I was, sitting in the pew, along with Sam, Emily, Claire, Embry, and Jacob. After that initial scare, Jake had come back and had a long talk with Bella, and I think everything is going to be okay with them. At least, I hope so.

“Quilly! I don’t like this dwess. I want my cutie-pie dwess.” Claire complained, pulling on her elaborately curled hair.

“Aw, Claire-bear, you know I can’t deny you anything! But please, this is for Bella. You know, Jake’s best friend.” I told her, trying not to cave. Damn, she was so adorable!

She sighed. “Awright, Quilly.” I had tried a million times to get her to call me Quil, but for some reason she just couldn’t say it.

“Quil, you have to take my side on this one. Sam said that boysenberry turnovers and better than apple turnovers. But you know it’s completely opposite, right?!” Embry said, elbowing me.

That just goes to show that we are truly werewolves, are minds constantly on food.

“Sorry Embry, but Sam’s right on this one.” I answered him.

“Hey, guys, shut up! Look, it’s starting!” Jacob whispered loudly to us, which was quiet in comparison to our loud conversation.

I turned my head just in time to see all of the people around us glaring in our direction. I grinned apologetically.

The doors in the back of the massive church creaked open. In walked the three bloodsucker girls, one at a time, in dresses made of lavender silk. I had to admit, even though they smelled disgusting, they looked gorgeous.

When Bella and Charlie walked through the door, my jaw dropped, and I could hear the others around me do the same.

Her long, brown hair was pulled up gracefully into a bun, with wisps of it spiraling downwards to her shoulders. Bells white dress was tight around the bodice, with fluffy little almost-sleeves, and it flowed out from her waist, bunched up into little ruffles.

I was sure that the little psychic – Alice – had done some intense Barbie-Bella.

She smiled hugely at us as she walked by, and grabbed Charlie’s arm just in time to stop herself from falling. Typical Bella.

The rest of the wedding was a blur, and all I really remember was thinking about how happy Bella looked up there with Edward. I guess if she really wanted to be a bloodsucker with him, then she should be able to. It was obvious that it was what she wanted.

In no time at all, we were swept outside to a reception in the gardens. Seeing as how it was night, the dance floor and tables were lit by little tiki torches.

Surprisingly, the Cullen’s had picked good food. I was on my fourth helping when Alice stood up to make the first toast.

“I’d like to make a toast. Edward, I’m so happy you’ve found someone you love with all your heart-” I bit down a laugh. “And Bella, I want to officially welcome you to the family!” Everyone clapped.

Some other people stood up and said some stuff, but I didn’t really pay attention. I was thinking hard about what I wanted to say. Knowing Sam and Jacob would get mad at me, I sighed and stood up, trying not to think of their reactions.

“Um,” I started, “Bella is like a sister to me. And I, uh, know that she’s been through a lot. And we, all of us from La Push, weren’t really into this whole idea. But, I can really tell that Bella loves Cu- Edward. And, even though there’s been some drama, I guess he really loves her too. So, uh, I just wanted to wish you guys luck. With whatever you do.” I finished, staring directly at Bella.

I could see her eyes start to water, and she and Edward both grinned crazily. Everyone clapped lazily, and as I sat down, I saw Jacob looking at me funnily.

“You know,” he said slowly, “I think I’m not going to kill you for that, because it’s true. Thanks, man.” And then he hugged me.

“Um, okay? Jake, you can stop hugging me now. I think people are looking.” And it was true; some people were watching us, their faces clearly saying, “Yeah, awkward…”

Then, the dancing. So Edward and Bella danced, and Bella and Charlie danced, and she didn’t trip either times. “I’m so proud.” I heard Alice murmur.

“Come on, Quilly. Let’s boogie!” Claire grabbed my giant hand and dragged me to the dance floor, where many people had started dancing.

I twirled her around a few times, enjoying each of her giggles.

“Quil? Can I talk to you?” Bella asked me, with Edward standing protectively behind her.

Don’t worry, bloodsucker, I’m not going to rip her to shreds. I thought to Edward.

His lips twitched, and he said, “Excuse me, love, but I need to talk to Carlisle.”

“Claire-bear, can you go sit with Aunt Emily for a bit?” She nodded and ran off.

“Thank you. That was the sweetest thing anyone could have said.” Bella said, gratitude clear in her voice. Then, without warning, she threw her arms around me, squeezing me tightly.

“You’re welcome, Bella.” I said awkwardly, patting her gently on the back.

“So you really accept that I’m going to be a – a bloodsucker?” She said, her eyes filling with tears.

“Hey, it’s about what you want. And please don’t start crying, I’m sure your little friend Alice won’t be too happy if her make-up gets ruined.” I said, trying to lighten the mood.

“Oh, right! Well, could you please tell Jake that I still love him, and that we need to keep in touch?” Bella’s eyes begged as well.

“Yeah. I’ll try my best, Bells. Take care, okay? And don’t forget, we all love you too. So you can visit, even if you do reek of leeches.” I laughed and pecked her swiftly on the cheek.

“Bye Quil! And tell me all about you and Claire, too.” She winked and walked off.

“Alright, Claire, time to go home.” I said as I waltzed back over to where she, Emily, and Sam were sitting.

“Okay Quilly!” She said and hopped down from her seat. “Bye-bye Uncle Sammy! See ya later Aunt Emily!”

My large hand engulfed hers, and we strolled over to the fit-to-burst parking lot. After putting Claire in her car seat, I hopped into the driver’s side.

Immediately, Claire started telling me everything she thought about the wedding, and how when she was older she was going to have an even bigger one.

We drove up to her house, where I lifted her out of her carseat and carried her inside.

”MOMMA! DADDY! I’m HOOOOOOME!” she yelled.

I heard her mother laugh softly from the living room. “Hey guys. Did you have fun tonight?” Just as Claire began telling her about the whole night, I cut in.

“Claire, its bedtime. You can tell your mom everything tomorrow.”

“But I’m not ti-” yawn “-ired.” She protested.

“Liar. Now let’s get to bed!" I said cheerily. We walked up the stairs to her pink covered bedroom. I helped her change into butterfly pajamas and brush her teeth. We read My Little Pony: Ponies Magic Hat and then turned out the light.

“Goodnight, sweetie. I love you.” I said, kissing her on the forehead. I stepped outside the door.

“Night…Quilly… love…you…” I could hear her mumble before sleep overtook her.
