I was at home, and cooped up in bed, again. How much longer am I going to be mini hospitalized? Carlisle said that I should have returned to school a week ago, but then Jeremy went and broke my wrist, and there was no way I was going to willingly go back to school unless both Lucas and Jeremy just left me alone!

Esme was at home with me every day that I could not attend school. I was glad for her company and she seemed to know exactly what to do and how to do it. I was glad that she was my grandma.

Edward and Bella brought me all of the homework and lesson notes I needed to make up. I was grateful that they were vampires and would copy every single word that came out of the teacher’s mouth if I needed them to. Edward helped me with something if I did not understand it, and Bella helped me with my piano practice. She played the right hand, and I played the left.

I finally went to school when Alice promised me that neither Lucas nor Jeremy would be there. I was reluctant at first, but then, when they didn’t show up for the first three periods, I felt much better.

Lunch greatly improved my attitude when I actually got to see some of my human friends who were greatly worried about how I was doing after my “car accident”. Lola was filled with questions and I answered all of them to the best of my ability and I had some help from Edward on the lying part. All of my teacher wee happy that I was back and amazed that I had gotten all of my work done.

At the end of the day, I felt more like my normal self and less like the stressed and stretched Elizabeth that has been living inside me for the past month or two. I liked things being back to normal for a while, but we all knew it would not last long.

School was almost out for the year, and just about every guy asked me to go to the prom with them. I turned every single offer down. I really did not need to be at prom with some guy when a werewolf, warlock, or demon could show up and ruin the whole thing.

Alec kept on texting me for the next week and a half telling me over and over how sorry he was about everything, and that he did not know what had come over him. I repeatedly ignored him, and sent him several, very mean, texts in response.

Neither Lucas nor Jeremy were anywhere near me for about a month.

I figured that they were both battling it out in Nympth for “my hand in marriage” Yuck. It was disgusting to even think about it. I knew that Edward was listening to all of my thought, and he hated the idea of me being married just because I kissed a guy.

So, when do you think they’ll come back? He thought.

I don’t know, but hopefully never. I hate them both. And it’s just about to the same degree of hate I feel towards Alec for what he did. I thought back.

Well, school is out in a couple of weeks, would you like to go back to England for the summer and visit some of your old friends? It might help take your mind off of this whole warlock, demon, and werewolf conflict and let you be a real teenager for a while. He suggested, and I could not help but not take him up on the offer.

That sounds great! Do you think we could leave a week early though? I mean, you and Bella could go to prom if you wanted to, and then we could leave the day after.

Ok, I don’t know if your mother really does want to go to prom or not this time around. I’ll have to ask her. He then mused over what this prom would be like if they did go, and that’s when I got out of his head. I really did not need the mental image of him and Bella kissing and getting all gooshy over each other at prom.

The rest of the week went faster than I could have hoped, and with no one going to the prom, we left even a little earlier than expected.
