I got a phone call from Jeremy on The first Saturday of April. How did he get my number? He called me on my cell. That’s odd. Only my family knows my number. Emmet probably gave it to him. Jeremy wanted to know if I would be out in the woods over the weekend. I answered with a probably, because everyone was planning on hunting this weekend, and I would have the house to my own, again. I personally think that they all hunt way too much. But Edward keeps saying that it is so they do not bite me. I did not really care at the moment if I was a half or full vampire. But he did.

Jeremy wanted to know if her could go with us. I immediately said no. He said that he understood that it was a family thing and that he did not want to intrude. I tried to sooth his feelings, but could not think of anything comforting to say except for that it was okay and that we might be able to get together another time. (What was I supposed to say? No, I’m sorry but unless you want to get eaten or become a vampire you can’t come?)

Sunday finally came. With Edward gone, I invited myself to La Push. I knew Alec would be happy to see me again outside of school. He had been “dropping by” more than usual and it was starting to bug me that some of the students thought that he was my boyfriend.

I was right. Alec was overjoyed to see me again. He almost broke a rib by hugging me a little too hard. Good thing for superhuman healing speed, which is another one of my perks. Jacob was thrilled. Apparently Alec had told him about Jeremy and me, and he was a little worried. We raced each other to the beach to find everyone from the pack there hanging out. We went cliff diving. This scared Jacob. I got glimpses of my mom as a human doing it, being pulled under, not coming up, being dragged to the beach unconscious, all that jazz. It was scary that my mom had actually been here before. Jacob had told me the story too, as a warning, and I swore to him that I would only dive as long as someone was there with me.

I enjoyed diving off that cliff with all of the La Push “protectors”. They all got really tense when I went to jump, as if I would get pulled under and black out, yeah right. It was still funny to see the relief on their faces when my head resurfaced after I hit the water.

It was probably my nineteenth or twentieth time jumping, and I decided to play a little joke on them. Using on of my many inhuman traits, I planned on jumping and staying under for about fifteen minutes or at least until they jumped in after me, I could hold my breath for just over an hour, so this would be easy.

I jumped, hit the water, and waited. They were all growing more worried by the second. It was kind of funny, but I knew it was mean. Something darted through the water ahead of my. Was it Jeremy? I had no idea what it was, but I decided to follow it, which was easy because it went with the small current.

There were several splashed behind me as I swam further out into the lake. The thing in front of me moved faster. I chased after it. I head people resurfacing behind me, no one know where I had gotten to. They all dove back in and started swimming. The object moved faster. I still chased.

Something grabbed my wrist as I was powerfully stroking my way through the water. It was the person or thing in front of me. It was dragging me through the water at a faster speed than I had ever been with anyone, even Edward. Who, or what, was this thing? It pulled me close enough so that I could see its face. Jeremy. What was he doing here? He then thrust me upward with some unbelievable strength. He was holding me halfway out of the water. Jacob saw me and started swimming as fast as he could. I felt Jeremy’s hands leave my waist, and fell back down into the water. Jacob’s burning hands grabbed mine and he hauled me up until my head was above water. I saw that I was almost in the middle of the lake. It was really cold out here. Jacob cradled me in his arms to warm me up because, apparently, I was shivering. I could see Alec’s eyes filled with relief when he saw my face above the water and he came swimming over as fast as possible. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he swam me back to shore.

“No more cliff diving for you.” He teased me on the way back.

“Not if I can help it,” I replied, “I still have some other powers that you have not seen in action, and I really do not want to use them. I was planning on mind control to convince Alec to dive with me again soon, but I haven’t used it since I was seven with Esme and the cookie incident. I smiled as a memory consumed me:

“Please? Please can I have just on cookie before my dinner Aunt Esme?” pleaded the very small version of me from my past.

“No, Elizabeth, you need to eat healthy foods before you can have a cookie.” Replied Esme.

“I want a cookie!” I screamed.

She did not budge but she did reply with her usual reason, “No. You need your health foods fir-” She was cut off as I found myself in her mind reading and creating thoughts. I remember screaming mentally at her to give me a cookie, and her body walked over to the jar and got three out and gave them all to me. I was a happy little mind controller.

Edward then made me swear to never use it again unless I am in serious trouble, like a Volturri attack, that should be very bad, and the power would become very useful.

I was pulled away from my memory when I felt a very warm hand on my forehead, and realized that I was laughing and that Alec had laid me down on the beach and was standing over me with a worried look on his face.

“I’m fine.” I said between laughs, and his face seemed to lose some of its original concern.

I was wet, but I walked to Alec’s house with the most pleasant smile on my face. I would get them to take me diving again, and they won’t see it coming.

We reached the front of his house and I almost screamed from the shock that hit me as I recognized the person waiting patient on his front porch. Why was Lucas here? And how does he know where Alec lives? Oh yeah, I forgot he could read my mind too.

“Hello,” Luke said with a casual smile, “I hope that it is okay that I stopped by.” His eyes flashed from mine to Alec’s.

Alec’s hands were shaking, where was Jasper when I need him? His whole body was vibrating fiercely now, I jogged backwards to the edge of the woods near his house, ready for him to phase at any moment. Luke just stood on the porch watching with what could only be pure amusement as Alec finally morphed and the surged towards him.

There was a bright flash of light, and the next thing I knew was that Alec, still in wolf form, was floating in a suspended orb. How did Luke do that? Where was he anyway?

I felt a tap on my shoulder and this time I did let out a small scream, until I realized that it was Jeremy who was standing behind me. At least Luke was not standing directly behind me either, otherwise my mind would be flooded with anything and everything but my own thoughts. I could already hear Alec cursing in his mind and trying to call for help, Jeremy was thinking about the most normal things possible, and Luke was going crazy.

I shook. The next thing I knew I was on the ground in an odd position. Did I just run or what? No, I was in the same place. My knees must have given out under the stress of Alec vs. Luke, Luke and Alec vs. Jeremy, and all of their thoughts swirling through my head. Jeremy slid his arms under mine and helped my up. I mouthed a thank you and turned to find Jacob, Sam, Jared, Quil, Embry, and the rest of the wolves all in the orbs too. This is perfect. I came to relax, not to have to deal with all the wolves, a warlock, and whatever Jeremy is at the same time. I profusely rubbed my thumbs into my temples; this is jus about all of the possible stress I could take at one time. Luke was now glaring at Jeremy, who he thought was the cause of my anxiety, and hurried over to “protect” me.

I was wrong, having Jeremy, Luke, and Alec all within a twenty foot radius of each other and me being in the middle of it all was all that I could handle. I thrust me arms down to my side and sped off with all the speed I could muster. I knew that both Luke and Jeremy would follow me wherever I went, but at least I would not have to deal with three of them.

The woods were passing in blurs as I ran myself home. I would have to come back for my car later. I made it to the house in less than three minutes, new record! But I was no where near enthusiastic about the whole thing. Everyone was still out hunting and the first three floors flew by until I had entered my room, shut and locked the door, closed the blinds, and turned my stereo up as high as it would got and let the music brainwash me.

I do not know how long I sat on my bed with the music on. My clock now read two in the morning. There was a soft knock on my door. I probed the person’s mind to find that it was Edward. They were home early, just a little too early for my tastes. But I reluctantly forced myself from the spot on my bed; which I had been sitting on for who knows how long, and answered the door.

Hello angel. I hope I did not disturb your very loud evening.

Not at all Edward, actually, I was happy you were the one at the door.

Really? Do you want to talk about it? Or in this case, think about it?

I guess I could. I thought as I remembered my day from the drive down to now. Edward seemed really mad about it, and he was baffled by the idea of Jeremy being so strong. He was furious that all of them had put me under so much invisible stress though.

Do you want me to deal with Lucas? Or I could talk to Alec… whichever you prefer. He thought. I know he wanted to help, and I was grateful for his offer.

Can you handle Lucas for me; I kind of need a break from the on slaughter of thoughts. I gestured towards my windows, He’s out there, and he won’t move. Now matter how much I scream at him. Please just make him leave. I need some peace.

Sure. This should be relatively easy. He thought as he gave me a small kiss on my forehead. I smiled as he turned to leave to “take care of” Lucas for me. I no longer cared what he was going to do to him. I like Jeremy better anyway.

I climbed into bed and let sleep consume me. I no longer cared about the on slaughter of thoughts in my head. Most of them were mine, but I was too tired to listen.

“Where are we?” I asked.

“We are in my world.” Jeremy replied.

We were standing before one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. Everything was exactly like something out a good fairytale. The castle, the gardens, the village, the people’s love for their king, and everyone’s politeness towards visitors… it was all so nice.

“Do you like it?” He asked.

I could only nod. We were standing on a balcony of the castle. I let my fingers trace up and down the stone carvings in the rail. My fingers traced until there was noting but clean stone.

“Why isn’t there any more?” I asked.

“Because nothing more has happened… yet. This tells the story of the kingdom’s future king and queen. The rail is cleared automatically when the new king and queen are married. Until then, the old king and queen rule. The people here are all, what humans call, mythical creatures. There are unicorns, trolls, goblins, vampires, werewolves, zombies, witches, warlocks, dragons, centaurs, Pegasus, griffins, and more.” He finished.

For the first time, I gazed over the balcony rail, and into a small village. He was certainly correct. There were trolls and witches bargaining in the square bellow, unicorns in a meadow, wolves in the woods, a witch doing laundry, and so much more.

“Wow…” I whispered, “It is so beautiful. I can not believe this place exists.”

“Any time you need it, it is here.” Jeremy said as he flashed me a smile.

He wrapped an arm around my waist and asked, “Would you like to see more?”

“I would love it.” I answered returning his smile.

He raised a hand and a broom flew over to him. He and I climbed on and we were in the air and over the small village in a second. We swooped in and out, between houses and other buildings, and flew above rooftops. People waved as we flew overhead. They all talked and pointed up at us as we zoomed through the outskirts of the village until we reached the square.

It was packed. It was also the most movie-like place I had ever been. Every type of creature was there and bargaining. Jeremy took me to a small shop full of little trinkets. There were necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, toe rings, jewels, and amulets.

“What would you like?” He asked.

I gaped at him. I would never, ever, not in a million years be able to pay him back for anything this beautiful.

“Go on, pick something. You won’t have to pay me back. It’s for you as a gift; I just wanted to get you something you would like.” He gave me another smile.

I turned back around to the beautiful displays of jewelry. Everything was so gorgeous. But my eyes lingered on one of the amulets. There was what appeared to be a diamond, set in some of the most beautiful and most detailed white gold, or silver, I had ever seen. My fingers gently traced all of the patterns on the gold and toyed with the stone inside.

“Do you like that one?” Jeremy asked.

I nodded, and with a swift movement of his hand, he had the amulet and was walking over to the owner of the shop, who was a witch, or werewolf, or vampire. He was back in a second and the necklace was around my neck.

“Thank you.” I whispered.

“You are forever welcome.” He whispered back. Then he pressed his lips to mine. It was the best thing that had happened to me. It was like I was actually in his world and he was really kissing me. His soft, warm lips were stuck on mine. His arms encircled me, pulling me into him. I let go of myself and let my arms wrap around his neck. We stood there for a very long time.

When he finally let go, we were both out of breath. I had never imagined anything like that could have ever happened. Even if it was only a dream.
