Shattered, broken, those two words explain my life now. I am without meaning, hollow, where my heart was once beating is now hollow. Only death can comfort my lost soul, only death.
Engaged, that’s what she called herself, already taken. Jacob had told me she was dating a vampire, but he never said “engaged.” No wonder he had run away. Now, I would die. Oh, but never to have kissed those plump, red lips never to tangle my tanned fingers in her chocolate brown hair, never to feel her soft body on mine. Never.
I looked down at the water, crashing on the rocks below. Such force, it would kill a man twice my size, if one existed. My life would end here. Here I was born, here I would die.
Let the ocean carry me away! Let it beat me upon these rocks till every bone in my body is shattered, till every feeling gone! Every feeling, except love. Love will go on; it does not die, no matter what obstacles it can not be shattered, it can not be broken!
“Alex! Alex don’t do it! Turn around! Come Home!” my father shouted, I turned around and saw him running towards me, tears streaming down his face.
“Goodbye pa,” I whispered, before flinging myself from the cliff, to my death.
I flung myself down on the hard hotel bed, sobbing. He was dead. Because of me a boy had killed himself. I was a murderer.
It was on the front page of the newspaper, Boy, 17, Commits Suicide, all because of me. I grabbed the phone and dialed Edward’s home phone. In a second Alice’s high, soprano voice was on the other end. “Bella, Bella I’m so sorry! Were coming there, we’ll come and bring you home.”
Ah, just what I wanted, to be home again, to rest peacefully in Edward’s arms, safe and cold. But no, I could not make the Cullen’s expose themselves for my sake.
“No need Alice, I’m coming home in 4 days. Can I talk to Edward.”
In a moment Edward’s velvety voice filled my ears. We talked for an hour, well he talked, I cried. I cried my very eye’s out.
