Haiku- First line=5 syllables; second line=7 syllables; third line=5 syllables Cinquain- First line=subject; second=two adj. describing subject; third=three verbs; fourth=sentence or phrase; fifth=synonym for the subject Diamante- First line=subject; second line=two adj.; third=three adj.; fourth=first 2 words are adjectives describing the first line and the second two words are words describing the seventh line; fifth=three adj. describing the seventh line; sixth=two adj. describing the seventh line; seventh=a word different from the first line Hope it helps.
