Thank you for the Venom

Summary:
Starts at Ch. 17 of New Moon. What if it hadn't been Alice who was waiting for Bella, but someone else? Banner made by me ^^ What do you think? Sanstitre-1-1.jpg thank you for the venom picture by misunder

Notes:
This idea has been bouncing around in my head for sometime and I finally decided to put it on the archives. I am somewhat disappointed with some of the other stories (not all) like this there are out there so I hope mine is good. Stole the title off a MCR song name ^^ Disclaimer: Stephenie Meyer is the God who created the wonderful characters I enjoy playing with. I own nothing and My Chemical Romance owns the title.

I was able to get Emmett to lunge at the wall a few more times. After my somewhat turbulent morning, which I refused to think of, it was very relaxing. After another hour I could tell Emmett was almost done so I led him on a false lead upstairs. Once I got him up there I ran down to the living room, grabbed a magazine from the coffee table, flipped it open, reappeared and made it look as though I had been here the entire time.

“I’m going to get that girl.” Emmett grumbled practically incoherently.

I loudly yawn and I heard Emmett warily run down to living room.

“Found you!” He yelled at the top of his lungs even though he was right in front of me.

“Why yes, yes you did.” I answered as I looked up at him. “And it took you long enough to.”

“Yeah it did.” Emmett said as he let out a loud breath. “You are the master at hiding. You’ll have to tell me you’re secret sometime.”

I cocked my head to the left and pursed my lips. Should I tell Emmett? Would he be able to keep it a secret? Not likely, at least I wouldn’t have to worry about Alice seeing because of my power. My family would let it slip eventually so what the heck.

“Are you good at keeping secrets Emmett?” I asked in a stage whispered voice as I leaned toward him. Emmett nodded enthusiastically and leaned toward.

“The reason I’m so great at hiding is because -“I was cut off when the door suddenly flew open to reveal an enraged Hailey.

“Get away from my sister.” Hailey said through gritted teeth, her eyes black as pitch.

Emmett looked around wildly and slowly backed away from the couch with his hands up in a surrendering position.

“Hailey calm down, it’s just Emmett.” I said trying to calm her down.

“No, no, Bella its okay I should get going anyhow. I’ll uhh, I’ll see you around.” Emmett said as he escaped from the house.

As soon as he was gone Hailey ran over to the couch where I was sitting and she wrapped herself in my arms. It was quiet for a minute or two before sobs started to shake her entire body. Trying to comfort her I gently rubbed and patted her back whispering reassurances. After she quieted down I pulled back so I could look into her eyes.

“Hailey, honey, what’s wrong? Why did you go off on Emmett like that?” I asked trying not to set her off again.

“It’s just that- that I’ve lived with you these past fifteen years or so and- and I know they hurt you.” I looked slightly surprised as Hailey said this and I’m sure it showed on my face. “You hide it pretty well most of the time but sometimes I just see like a flash of emotion in your eyes and the pain I see is so deep...” Hailey trailed off and looked over at the wall. After a moment Hailey looked back over and gazed into my eyes. “I just- I just don’t want them to hurt you again. You mean a lot to me Isabella, you’re my sister.”

“I love you like a sister to Hailey. It’s sweet that you’re worried about me but I’ll be fine. Now I’m going to go read in my bedroom, okay?” I asked her. When she nodded I gently extracted myself from her and went silently up to my room.

Once there I sat down on my bed and thought about what Hailey had said. Was it really that obvious to those who knew me well that I was broken? Could they easily see that I was missing an essential part of my person? While I was pondering the obviousness of my pain a knock sounded on the door. I immediately tensed. There were only seven people who would feel the need to knock. I turned invisible and walked to the door. Before I could get there however, Hayley jumped up and answered the door.

“Can I help you?” Hayley asked in a fake polite voice. I looked over her shoulder and gave a silent gasp.

“Yes,” He said. “I’d like to talk to Isabella.”
