Thank you for the Venom
Starts at Ch. 17 of New Moon. What if it hadn't been Alice who was waiting for Bella, but someone else? Banner made by me ^^ What do you think?
This idea has been bouncing around in my head for sometime and I finally decided to put it on the archives. I am somewhat disappointed with some of the other stories (not all) like this there are out there so I hope mine is good. Stole the title off a MCR song name ^^ Disclaimer: Stephenie Meyer is the God who created the wonderful characters I enjoy playing with. I own nothing and My Chemical Romance owns the title.
7. Ch.7 The Sighting

"The difference between friendship and love is how much you can hurt each other."
There sitting at the table across the room, as if nothing had happened all those years ago, were five insanely gorgeous people I never thought I would see again. Hailey, Alex, and Lily were all fidgeting in their chairs and looking nervously had the place I had been sitting only moments ago.
“Izzy, are you alright?” Alex asked worriedly.
I grabbed a pen from the purse Lily had sitting on our table and started writing on my napkin.
Meet me at the house. I need to tell you some things. Don’t worry, we’ll be back by the time lunch period has ended.
I slid the note to the middle of the table and got up out of my chair. A few seconds later my family got up and headed towards the garbage to throw out their food. As soon as I saw that they would follow me I ran to the house, trying to get my emotions under control. I had a little trouble getting there because I was distracted while I was running which resulted in me tripping a few times.
Two minutes later the four of us were sitting in the living room of our two-story, four bedroom house. They were all noticeably uneasy. I made myself appear and they relaxed the slightest bit.
“Angel, what’s going on?” Hailey asked anxiously.
“There are other vampires that our attending our school.” I said flatly. Lily and Hailey gasped but Alex looked unsurprised.
“I know, I talked to the leader of their coven yesterday. We’re going over to meet them this evening.” Alex told us all.
He did what? Oh why did this have to happen to me? I mentally calculated my chances of getting out of the meeting, and found that they weren’t good. I took a deep breath and decided something.
“Guys, there’s something you need to know. Those vampires. I know them.” I said and this time everyone was surprised.
I went on to give them a summary of my last human years, which I still remembered with some clarity. I told them about Forks, about Edward, James, Victoria, the werewolves, why I hated the name Bella, everything. The three of them seemed to become more and more overwhelmed as my tale continued. I finally finished with my last human day. The day Victoria had almost killed me. Lily came over and wrapped her arms around me and I noticed for the first time that I had been dry sobbing.
“Sssh Izzy. If it makes you feel any better I’ll go beat him up.” Lily tried to soothe me.
I let out a shaky laugh but continued to cry without tears. We sat like that for a few more minutes before I sighed. I looked down at my watch and noted the time regretfully.
“We have to go if we want to make it back before the lunch break ends.” I said sadly.
“Are you sure? I mean, we can call in sick for you or something.” Hailey told me. I wanted nothing more to stay home and avoid them but I would have to face them eventually. Just get it over with, I thought to myself.
“No, no. I can’t miss my first day.” I argued. None of them looked convinced but they didn’t press the matter.
We all ran back to Abberville High and emerged from the trees when we were sure no one was watching. The bell rang a minute after the four of us arrived and we all headed off to our classes. Lily and I had Spanish. I sighed. I doubted the teacher even spoke proper Spanish, let alone could teach me anything.
The smell hit me as soon as I entered the room. Vampire. I desperately hoped that it wouldn’t be him. My eyes roamed the room and for once luck was with me. Alice sat in her seat looking at me like she couldn’t believe I was there. I looked past her as I did everyone else. The human memory is but a sieve, he told me. My human memories should be gone by now. The safest course would be to ignore their existence and pretend I didn’t know them.
The rest of class I saw Alice staring at me from the corner of my eyes. When the bell rang I got up as fast as humanly possible so that Alice wouldn’t have the chance to catch me. I looked down at my schedule as I left the room to find out what I had left. Biology. I was hit suddenly with a very painful memory.
I walked into the room trying to control my hyperventilating as best as I could. Looking around the room I noted their was only one empty seat next to a bronze haired god. Naturally. I was already eternally damned, why did the fates have to torture me as well? Was I some three dimensional toy to them?
I sat down next to him and tried my hardest not to acknowledge his presence. It didn’t work and everything about him blast through my carefully constructed walls. His name, Edward, all the memories, and all the pain. I heard a sharp intake of breath from the seat next to me but continued to stare straight ahead at the teacher taking notes on a subject I already knew backwards and forwards. Mr. Jogger, the biology teacher, was in the middle of a speech on cellular anatomy when I heard a beautiful velvety voice speak from beside me, to low for any human to hear.
“Bella?” Edwards voice was full of confusion and I thought I might of heard some pain underlying it all. No you’re just imagining things, I thought fiercely. He never cared for me, so why would he be hurting now?
“My name isn’t Bella. It’s Isabella, and I prefer Is for short. I don’t know where you received that notion.” I said very quietly, so I wouldn’t tip anyone off to our private conversation. Edward turned back to the front of the room and didn’t attempt to say anything else.
The bell rang, startling me slightly, and I swiftly gathered my books and raced off to the car. I was going faster than any human should but I didn’t care. I couldn’t wait to get out of that room.
Apparently I wasn’t fast enough though, because a few feet outside of the classroom Edward grabbed my elbow. I looked down at his hand then looked back up at him blankly, carefully concealing all emotions.
“Do you mind?” I asked somewhat indignantly.
“How are you here? You- you- you’re dead, I saw your grave myself!” Edward asked me, somewhat dazed.
I narrowed my eyes at him and noticed their seemed to be hope lighting his eyes. What could he possibly be hoping for? Then it came to me. He feels guilty about my death. Pain coursed through me and I realized that I too had been starting to hope. I had been hoping that maybe he loved me, had missed me. Of course he didn’t, I thought furiously. I looked away from Edward and was relieved to see Alexander heading towards us looking worried.
“Would you mind letting her go?” Alex asked, no longer worried but becoming quickly infuriated as he began to realize who had captured my arm.
Edward looked at Alex then reluctantly let go of my arm when he saw Hailey and Lily come up behind Alex, clearly on his side.
“Thank you.” I replied frostily and backed up so that I was standing with my family.
“Are you alright Izzy?” Alex whispered in my ear. I nodded at him and he relaxed a fraction.
“Stay away from my sister. You got that?” Lily said poking Edward angrily in the chest. Edward looked a little shocked. The rest of the Cullen’s were beginning to approach all with matching apprehensive expressions clouding their perfect faces.
"Bella, is really you?" Alice asked, unsure. I noticed Jasper had started to look intently at me and I shut down my emotional process. He looked a little shocked then made eye contact with Edward.
“Do I know you five?” I asked blankly, continuing my plan of ignorance as to their identities.
They all looked hurt when they heard this, even Rosalie. Edward opened and closed his mouth several times before abruptly turning away. Jasper, Emmett, Alice, and Rosalie followed him but kept glancing at me over their shoulders as they walked off. I to turned around and headed towards our car. I slid in the back silently with Hailey beside me.
“Izzy, are you going to be alright?” Lily asked me. “You don’t have to come tonight if you don’t want to.”
I nodded my head yes, I was fine but refused to back out of the evening. I would go and be with my old family, even if it killed me. I leaned my head against the window and closed my eyes, mentally preparing myself for the coming twilight.
