I woke the next morning in my bed. I suddenly see that Edward was looking at me the whole time. He must’ve come into my room after I heard Charlie left earlier this morning. His expression looked so peaceful. I pull my face toward his face and touch his lips with my lips and kiss him softly. Just when our lips touch, his head moves forward and both our faces are pressed together passionately. The kiss was so amazing and I could feel he was smiling also.

“What was that about?” Edward said.

“You looked peaceful. So I wanted to give you a kiss,” I said.

“That was a pretty good move, I would say,” said Edward, with his voice sounding smooth and calm.

We look at each other for a minute.

“So, what did you dream about?” he asked.

“You of course.”

I lay my head on his head and give him a kiss on his cold, soft lips. Then, I decided to put my head and hand on his chest. As we lay on my bed, I rub his chest back and forth feeling his muscles tense but still a bit relaxed.

I lay back onto my pillow. Edward is still staring at me with his beautiful, golden eyes looking at my smile.

“Let’s do something. I feel like getting out of this house today,” said Edward.

“Like what?”

“How about you take a run with me?”

“No way. I am not running.”

“Why not? Is it because I can run faster than you,” Edward said chuckling.

“Admit that you’re jealous.”

Edward stares at her.

“Okay, fine. I’m jealous that I can’t run as fast as you.”

Laughing, Edward says, “Hmm, its okay. If you twist your ankle during our run, I’ll just swoop you off your feet like Prince Charming. Except that he’s a human and I’m a vampire.”

“I’ll go for that.”

“Okay, well get up and get dressed. I’ll be right back.”

At that moment, Edward was gone in a flash. He must’ve ran back home to change. So, in the meantime I walked to my closet to grab a t-shirt, a pair of shorts, and my good running shoes. Well, they aren’t that good anymore, but they’re the only ones I have. I run to the bathroom really quick because I know Edward can pop up any second.

I walk out of the bathroom and into my room. Edward sat on my bed with his hands resting on the bed.

“You scared me.”

“Sorry about that,” said Edward.

“It’s alright.”

Edward was wearing a grey t-shirt that hugged the curves of his muscular chest. Just looking at his neck made me feel like I was going to faint. He was also wearing black shorts that were down to his knee. His running shoes were clean. They looked like they’ve never been worn. Plus, they were polished, too.

“What are you looking at?” Edward said.

Trying to act distracted, I said, “Oh, nothing.”

“You were looking at my t-shirt weren’t you?”

“You did look at my t-shirt! I thought I wouldn’t bother you, but I guess it did,” he said smiling.

“Maybe I did,” I murmured, “you were reading my mind weren’t you?”

“Maybe I did,” Edward murmured.

I poke Edward the hardest I could. Edward didn’t budge.

“Kiss me.”

Edward slowly moves his face toward mine. My face also moves slowly towards his. Edward’s lips touch mine lightly. I press my lips together against his giving slight pressure.

“Your kisses just keep getting better,” Edward said smiling his usual crooked smile.

“Thanks,” I giggled.

“Let’s go.”

We both walk down together. Our hands are intertwined tightly. Edward’s hands feel cold, but they still feel soft. They felt like lotion was rubbed on them dozens of times. It felt great!

I see a piece of blue paper sitting on the kitchen table. It’s a letter Charlie wrote.

It said:

Be back around 5 pm. Can you please prepare dinner?

“I have to prepare dinner again tonight.”

“It’s not that bad.”

“Well, yeah you are right.”

“Okay, are we ready to go?”

“Yeah, let’s go.”

Edward and I walk outside. We both get into Edward’s Volvo and drive to the forest. Once we arrive, I start doing stretches. Edward just stood to the side and looked at me stretching, and he started laughing. After I finished, we started running. Once we were two miles into our run, Edward suddenly vanishes.

“Edward!” I yelled.

There was still no sound of him. All of a sudden, Edward appears right in front of me and kisses me. He hands me a flower that he picked especially for me.

“This is for you,” he said, as he’s handing me the flower.

“Thank you,” I said, breathing in the sweet scent of the flower.

Edward gives me another kiss. We both continue running.

About 30 minutes later, we head home to relax. We head back to my room to sit and talk.

“So, was that a good run?” he said smiling while glaring at me with his perfect golden eyes.

“Yeah, definitely,” I said.

“Cool. I’m glad that we ran.”

“Me too.”

Edward again slowly moves his face toward mine as he lay on my bed. But this time, he moves his body toward mine. I really don’t know what to do. Should I just start making out with him like I always wanted to? Or should I just pull my face away. I feel like making out with him.

I pull my face toward his. His cold lips touch mine. He starts caressing me with his lips touching my cheeks. They slowly move to my neck. I could feel him breathe against my skin. My body starts feeling chills down my back, but I keep ignoring it. His lips finally touch my ear, and he kisses them so lightly. As he keeps moving his lips around my face, I start pulling off his t-shirt. I rub my hands across his extremely muscular chest.

Just when I pull his t-shirt off, he stops suddenly.

“What are you doing?” Edward growled softly.

“I thought this is what you want, “ I said.

“No, all I wanted to do was kiss you but you had to go that far,” he said.

“I’m sorry, Edward.”

We look in each other’s eyes. Edward’s eyes didn’t look okay. I think I took it too fast. Maybe I should’ve backed away. Edward quickly puts back on his t-shirt and gets out of my bed. I look at him confused.

“I have to go,” said Edward.

“Okay,” I said, confused.

Edward kisses me quickly on my forehead and disappears out of my window. He drives away in his Volvo. I watch as he turns around the corner of the street.

“Goodbye, Edward,” I said, feeling alone and sad without Edward around.
