I came into our room to find Jeremy clicking away on his computer. I could also smell bacon from downstairs.

“What are you doing?” I asked

“Just going through the Forks High student lists. It says that there was an Edward Cullen in the junior class last year. But there are also Cullen references in here. It might have been his dad, though.”

“So, what does that tell us?”

“Nothing, but I do have a hunch,” he kept clicking away. “As far as I found, there are no birth records of a Carlisle Cullen in Forks or throughout the country.”

“Jer, I told you what Joshua Black said to me about the Edward and his family.” I said, frustrated he didn’t listen.

“And you believe Joshua Black, the Quilette boy whose dad and grandfather supposedly told him about a treaty wolves made with vampires? But you don’t believe the raw facts?”

“Well…I trust Josh, not the facts and…” I trailed off, seeing a flyer from under Jeremy’s “Advanced Engineering” books. “Jeremy, what’s this?” I grabbed the flyer.

“Nothing. Hey! Give that back!” I ran behind the bed and read the flyer.

The flyer said: Engineering and Biological Science Fair

“Jeremy, are you going to do this?” I asked.

“No, I can’t, I’m not doing anymore fairs. Besides, I can’t find any sort of variable to use for my experiment.”

“What experiment?”

“There is no experiment. Now give me the flyer!” he jumped off the chair and grabbed my arm, we wrestled over the flyer for a few minutes. Then, I jumped off the bed and landed on the floor, a plank opened up and hit me in the shin.

“OW!” I noticed a package of stuff in the ground. What the…” I opened the board even more and dust flew up from it. “Jeremy, what the hell is this?”

“I don’t know.” We looked in floor and found a pictures and a CD. “This used to be mom’s old room,” said Jeremy, “maybe this was hers.”

We opened the envelope and found pictures of…Edward. There was my mom standing next to Edward, a picture of Edward on a sitting chair, a picture of Edward and Papa…

“What are these?!” I yelped.

“Al, maybe this is Edward’s dad, or something.”

“It’s not his dad. He’s too young! And it looks exactly like him! Oh my God!”

I ran downstairs with Jeremy following. We ran into the kitchen to see mom setting the table and humming to herself. Before I could say anything, I saw her finger, her ring finger, without the ring!

“Mom,” Jeremy said, “where is your ring?” Mom turned around and blushed.

“Kids, I think it’s time I took it off. I really don’t think your father would want me to wear it anymore…he’d want us all to be happy.”

“Oh, ok. So is this what happy is?!” I threw the pictures on the table. She stared at them for a moment and then her eyes widened. She sat down at the table.

“Where-where did you get those?” she stammered holding the photos.

“They were under the floorboard in our room, we didn’t mean to open it, but it busted when Al fell on it.” Said Jeremy.

“Oh no,” she had tears in her eyes, “kids, I-I think we should talk.”

“Yeah, I think we should talk about why you’re in pictures with Edward and he hasn’t changed and you’re a teenager!” I yelled.

“Let me just make a call, I’ll be right back.” She left the room and went into the living room.

Edward POV

I was sitting in my room, humming happily when I heard my phone ring. The ID said Bella.

“Good morning love,” I said cheerfully.

“Edward, you need to come over now!” I was already at my car.

“Bella, what’s wrong, what happened?”

“The kids…they-they found the photos…the photos of us…when-when…” she was hyperventilating.

“Alright, calm down. I’ll be there soon. We’ll figure this out soon enough. I promise.”

“Just hurry, Edward!” I was at Bella’s house in approximately one minute. I opened the door and looked around.

“Bella,” I called. Just then I was hit in the face with a frying pan. “Hey, what is going on here?!” I grabbed the pan and the attacker and lifted both into the air. It was Alice.

“Get out you…you…YOU!” She let go of the pan and dropped to the ground. I saw Bella running down the staircase.

“Edward,” she said, “thank God.”

I saw Jeremy in the kitchen, glaring at me. Is this for real? Holy crap. If this creep doesn’t get out of the house I swear…

Son of a- I heard plenty from Alice.

“Alice, Jeremy, I think it’s time to tell you what’s going on.”

“Oh that would be just lovely,” sneered Alice.

“Yeah, I would like to know what the hell is going on here…before we end up on Jerry Springer.” Muttered Jeremy.

“Edward, I think we should let Carlisle tell them.” I couldn’t argue with that, Carlisle would be a good option right now.

“Who the hell is Carlisle?” asked Alice. Probably another dude mom’s going out with.

“Watch what you say about your mother.” I said, she had gone too far. Alice looked at me with an expression of pure bewilderment.

“Kids, Carlisle is Edward’s father, he can explain to you.” Bella said.

“Oh so now he has a father? What is he fifteen?” said Jeremy. I looked at Bella and she had a pleading look in her eyes.

We got Jeremy and Alice into the car and drove to my house. I had gone over two hundred miles an hour and was so focused on getting to the house, I didn’t notice the shortened breathing in the backseat.

When we got to the house, I saw Alice in the back, looking horrified. She was breathing quickly and had her eyes closed.

“Nice man,” said Jeremy, “Alice gets car sick easily.” Jeremy slowly got Alice out of the car and we slowly walked to the house.

This was going to be a long day.
