Chapter 2

Alice had just put the tiara on my head. I looked up and gasped. Staring back at me was anyone but me. For the girl-no woman- looking back at me was vibrant and beautiful. My hair was set loosely on my bare shoulders, curled at the ends. On top of my hair was a sheer and simple veil that went down to the back of my calves, and holding it in place was a diamond clustered tiara. Alice had applied simple, yet elegant make up to my face with a bit darker lip gloss. And the dress. The dress was strapless and on it was a gold pattern design right in the bodice. There were more gold designs by my thighs and at the bottom was a picked up skirt in three layers. The top two were white; the bottom one was again, gold, which flowed back in a simple train. The jewelry was limited, just a simple diamond necklace and the charm bracelet from Edward.

While I was admiring what I thought was myself there was a light tap on the bedroom door. Alice left me and opened up the door to Edward’s room. Standing in the doorframe were Charlie and Renee. Charlie looked hurt, can’t believing that his little girl was getting married, but yet happy in his own special way. Renee was just absolutely dumbstruck for a moment, but then she snapped out of it and ran over to me. She hugged me tightly and started crying. “You look beautiful Bella. It’s still hard to believe that you’re getting married today. Just yesterday you were running around the house, celebrating that you used the toilet,” Renee sniveled. I groaned and gave my mother a peck on the cheek. Then I walked over to Charlie, and gave him a light peck on the cheek to. He didn’t say anything and held out his arm. I linked my arm into his and we walked down the hallway with Renee trailing behind us.

As Charlie and I started walking down the aisle, everything stopped. Or so it seemed. The rows of chairs were decorated elegantly with blood-red roses. Everyone I knew was there, except for one person. At the end of the aisle were the pastor and Edward. Edward. He looked extremely handsome in his simple black tux with a crisp white shirt underneath and a blood- red tie. In his chest pocket was a red rose. His face was so unbelievable that it is hard to describe. Putting it simple, he looked so lovestrucked and shocked that, if he could, he would have died right there. Look who’s doing the dazzling now? I thought.Suddenly, everything resumed and I was taking the long walk to the altar. Finally, after what seemed like forever, I was giving Charlie a kiss on the cheek and standing next to Edward. He clasped his hand into mine and we looked at the pastor. The pastor cleared his throat and said, “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man and this woman in Holy Matrimony…”

End of Flashback

“Bella?” I heard my angel’s velvet voice saying my name. I was completely out of it. I had no idea what was going on. I felt Edward’s warm hand touch my face and sighed. Then I just realized that his hand felt warm, which it shouldn’t. I jerked up and was suddenly being held in Edward’s arms, speechless. Edward was stroking my hair while I glanced around the room. The bed was completely torn apart and destroyed. Carlisle was standing where I lost saw him and had rejoice in his eyes. Standing next to him was Alice and Esme, wearing the same expressions. Emmet, Jasper, and Rosalie stood by the doorway awkwardly, watching Edward and I. I glanced up at Edward and like always, his face was difficult to read. I tried to remember what had happened before. Why everyone was staring at me. Then it hit me. I know remembered the pain, screaming, and kicking. Everything was coming back to me now.

I was a vampire.
