Immortality
A curse and a blessing,
So bittersweet.
To live until the end of time,
It is death that we cheat.
To see the future...
But to live in the past.
So many people come and go,
Unfortunately, we outlast.
For us, time stands still-
Unmoving forevermore.
We may see everything,
But it becomes nothing (but a bore.)
In the end we only wish
To have our mortality back,
But it is impossible,
Time's the one thing we will never lack.
