We searched. We looked all over the tiny, tree covered, and way too claustrophobic island, but Lucas was nowhere to be found.

"Lucas," I whispered quietly, "Lucas, where the hell are you. If you're not back by tomorrow, I swear I'll, I'll..." I whispered empty threats into the chilly night air, hoping for a response. Nothing.

"Lucas! You giant jackass, get over here! I know you're out there!" I finally screamed as I reached the rocky beach. There was no response.

I ran back to the house, fuming. Where could Lucas be? It's not like I was running off with Alec or anything. Everything was fine between us. Luke just didn't really understand friendship I guess. Maybe he had been betrayed, lied to, cheated, so many times before that he couldn't trust anyone but me. Maybe he was looking for me right now too? Why would he be looking for me though? It's not like I'm in trouble. Am I?

Was Jeremy here? Had he found out about this? Was Edward and Bella okay? What about the rest of the family? Were they all okay too? What if they were dead? What if Jeremy had gotten to them and when they couldn't tell him anything...?

My questions went on and on, running circles in my head, making it harder and harder to remember I was looking for Lucas so we could get to a party in Nymth on time.

I burst through the back door at the exact same time that Ryan flew gracefully through the front door. Both of us had the same, disapproval, expression on our faces.

"No luck?" I asked.

"None. You?"

"I got nothing. Where the hell is that magic man?"

"Beats me. I just want to get this whole party thing over with."

"Me too, I kind of wish that Edward could come. The place has changed a lot since Edward last visited." I said as I smoothed one of the wrinkles in my dress and pulled a leaf from my hair.

"Really, what changed?" Alec asked as he came down the stairs in his black tux.

"Well," I said, "When Edward last visited, the place had been ruled by... Jeremy." Both of them tensed at the name, "Lucas and his family regained power and control of their land, and now, instead of bleak, grey, and hopeless, it's happy, and a really nice place to be."

"What is?" Lucas asked as he walked into the room through the back door.

"There you are!" I said exasperated, "Where were you?"

"I was, err, checking on some things before we left."

"What things?"

"Nothing really, I was just tying up some loose ends in case anyone does come around here."

"Oh. Well, are we going to Nymth or not?"

"Let's go." Lucas agreed, "Mom might want some help setting up."

With that, we walked out of the small house and headed for the cliffs where Lucas said we would leave from. I could hear the waves lapping on the shore from a mile and a half away. There wasn't anyone around to witness our departure.

"Alright," Lucas said as we were standing on the edge of the rocks, "we all need to hold hands, to make sure no one wanders into another dimension or anything along those lines. We don't need anyone getting lost."

We stood in a small circle, holding hands and waited. Lucas closed his eyes and a blue-white light engulfed us and it felt we were traveling at a bazillion miles per minute. I could see shock on Ryan's face, and Alec looked like he could barf at any second. Lucas, however, had his eyes closed in full concentration. It must be hard to get four people to Nymth.

We landed not seconds after leaving. I blinked in the dim light of what must be the main square. I looked up and saw three moons and a bazillion stars above my head. I could define one or two constellations out of the entangled mess.

I heard Lucas exhale in what sounded like exhaustion. I turned and saw him with his eyes open and leaning casually against the main fountain. He had his own tuxedo on and was waiting for Ryan and Alec to recover from the speed.

Alec was laying face down on the street stones trying to get over how fast we had just gone. Ryan was looking at him curiously. I couldn't help but giggle at his expression. Ryan's face portrayed the expression of a madly puzzled seven year-old.

Ryan looked at me like I was an idiot for a split second and then he started laughing too.

"Is Alec okay?" I asked through gasps for air while I laughed.

"He... should be... fine." Lucas managed through his own laughter.

Alec's head lifted from the cool stone and he glared at us. That only made us laugh harder.

Alec struggled to his feet, looking embarrassed, and walked over to where the three of us were waiting. He gave all of us an annoyed look and we started walking towards the giant castle that was behind the square.
