Lucas eventually found me. I was sitting by the south wall of the castle, humming tunelessly to myself when I heard him calling my name.

I debated going out to meet him where he was. It didn't take me long to decide that it was wrong to keep him waiting.

I walked out from behind the wall and was pulled into a tight hug.

Lucas sighed in my ear, "I'm so glad you are okay. What did he do to you?"

"Jeremy didn't do anything. I did."

"You... did that?"

"Yeah. I guess whenever there's a lunar eclipse I get stronger in your world." I shrugged.

"But... we all get weaker whenever there's a lunar eclipse. So, how can you get stronger?"

"Maybe because my vampire half isn't as good as my human half?" I suggested.

"Maybe..." He seemed to consider that for a minute.

"Can we go home?" I asked, "I've had enough action for one day."

"Okay. We just need to find Alec and Ryan before we go."

"Alright. I'll find Ryan if you find Alec."

"Deal." He said as we split off in opposite directions trying to find our friends.

I found Ryan also looking for me by the west side of the main city. He was ecstatic to see that I was fine. We walked back to where we had arrived in the woods early, Lucas and Alec appeared moments later. We all took hands and thought of home. The familiar rush of travel came and went, and when I opened my eyes, I was standing on a short path in the middle of a forest.

"I guess we went to your idea of home and nor mine, you must still be pretty powerful from earlier." Lucas said.

"I guess so. Well, we might as well enjoy it while we're here." I said as I stated to walk down the very familiar path towards home. Edward would be waiting.

We reached the house in minutes and Edward pulled me into a very big and rather tight hug.

"Hi... to you...too." I gasped.

He instantly let go of me and I landed lightly on my feet.

"Where were you?" He asked; relief filled his perfect voice.

"Away." I told him plainly.

"Elizabeth, you have better tell me where you were or so help me..."

"Oh no! Anything but that!" I screamed excitedly.

"Oh yes..." He said as he reached forward and started tickling me at his amazing speed.

"Edward.... Please... stop! It... hurts...!" I said between laughs.

"Oh okay." He pouted.

"But I still love you daddy."

"I know." He said and kissed the top of my forehead.

Bella and Alice walked out then and both squealed when they saw me. Alice made me swear to go shopping with her as soon as possible and Bella was as ecstatic as ever. The rest of the family joined us eventually and everyone was overjoyed that I was back.

The following week dragged. Alice and I went shopping, Alec left to go back home and see Jacob, Bella and Edward watched my every move, and Ryan and I were almost inseparable, and Lucas had left to go and check on his family back in Nymth.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" I asked Ryan as we sat in my room listening to one of my eight ipods.

"Sure, where do you want to go?"

"I don't know, let just walk and see where it leads."

"Okay." He said getting up from the bed.

I uncurled myself from the ball I had been sitting in and followed him out.

Where are you two going? Edward asked.

For a walk.

Okay, don't go too far.

We won't we'll stay in the country.

I'm just kidding, we won't go out of the ten mile radius, I promise. I thought as I walked through the front door.

Ryan and I walked for all of five minutes until we broke into a natural run.

We ran hand and hand for a while, winding in and out of trees, over bushes and running across the small creek.

"So, any place in particular?"

"No." I answered.

"Hey Liz?"

"There's something I wanted to tell you."

Aww crap! Hopefully he's not positively in love with me too, "What is it?"

"Well, I know we haven't been friends for very long, but, I feel like I belong to you. You are the person, or being, that I live for. Without you, I don't think I could survive. And, well, the truth is, I love you. I love you more than anything else in this world Liz and its okay if you don't feel the same way."

I didn't know what to say except, "I love you too Ryan, but as a brother, and I don't know if it would get any deeper than that."

We slowed to a walk, "Its okay, I can wait."

I wanted to ask, "For how long?" But I held my tongue.

I looked around for a minute, wanting to avoid Ryan's gaze which I could feel in the right side of my head. I noticed the moon, it was starting to turn orange; the eclipse was tonight!

I felt myself sway slightly, and Ryan caught me around the waist with his left hand. I turned towards him, dazed and mouthed the word, ‘thanks.' He smiled back in return, a little puzzled about my sudden sway in health appearance.

I glanced up at the moon again and twitched as its orange glow hit my face. I leaned into Ryan, trying to forget what had happened in Nymth, and what normally happened here. I didn't want to lose control again. It was easier in Nymth.

"Are you okay?" Ryan whispered.

"I don't know, we should probably-" I was about to say, ‘go home.' But I was cut short by something hard ramming into my side and I went flying into a nearby tree.

"Elizabeth!" Ryan called as I smacked into the tree and slid down the trunk and into a slump on the ground.

I moaned and there was a smack of two vampire fists contacting skin. Felix and Ryan were fighting.

Two cold hands gripped my arms, dragging me from where I laid on the soft ground, two very unfamiliar and threatening hands.

Pain erupted in my head, and a sinister, female voice accompanied it, don't say anything or I will kill you, despite Aro's orders.

I complied, not wanting any more pain than was needed to be inflicted by Jane. I knew she could hurt me and I knew I would give in to whatever she wanted after only a small dose of it.

"Elizabeth!" I heard Edward snarl as I glimpsed him flying towards us.

Pain erupted in my head and I screamed bloody murder, causing Edward to stop in his tracks. His eyes showed the pain I was feeling that I glimpsed a moment before having to close my eyes in order to keep from screaming again.

I heard Jane's soft, sickening laugh close to my left ear now, she was crouched next to me, "Now Edward, we don't want your little one to suffer," she said as the pain increased and I howled again, "but I will end her life if you try and stop us."

The more pain Jane inflected, the angrier I became, or at least, the vampire half of me did.

I could feel all of my self-control over the monster that only rears its mighty and gruesome head only during lunar eclipses if I'm outside, it was angry, and gaining control. I tried to fight it, but the pain- that was constantly a new mental problem because of Jane- distracted me, and I felt all control slip away.

"Bite her! Now!" Jane whispered and another vampire that I didn't recognize in the slightest, jumped out and clamped down hard on my neck, then everything went black as the monster thrashed and I was left in the dark.
