Mending hearts or breaking them?

It’s been seven years since Bella has left Forks. Edward decides that a trip to Forks is due, and Bella agrees. But how are the residents (aka Jacob) of Forks going to act?

Obviously not well.

Please please please review! Thanks to everyone that has reviewed! it's totally made my day.
The last chapter is the best. So if you don't wanna read all the crap, just skip to chapter 10.So I've decided since no one is reviewing my stuff, I'm not going to write another chapter. And I've kinda lost inspiration for this story. So yeah.

This is my first fan Fic, So please review! Tell me how it is. Improvements I can make and such.
EDIT: I'll post the next chapter when I have reviews!!

The Hunt

Chapter 2

Bella’s POV

It had been a couple of days already. Why hadn’t he answered the letter?

I paced the living room floor. It was more like frantic running back and forth rather than pacing.

Edward stood up and spun me around, hugging me to his chest.

“Bella stop worrying. Jacob” Edward all but spit out his name “He got the letter. We’ll be going to Forks in two days. You can see him then. Don’t worry about it” His tone was gentle and reassuring.

I sighed. Edward was right of course. But how could I not worry? Every time I sent a letter it was always like this. Every time he hadn’t sent an answer. Then why was I so agitated? I should be expecting this.

Alice and Jasper entered the room. Alice threw Jasper a meaningful look when she saw me looking rather frantic. I felt a wave of calm rushing over me. I glared at Jasper. He just smiled apologetically, not looking very sorry.

“Why don’t we go hunt?” suggested Alice “That should take your mind of things”

I glanced outside not realizing that night had already fallen.

“Sure” I said nodding, slightly uplifted.

Hunting always took my mind of things. Of course Alice knew this and always used it to her advantage.

“Besides, we should hunt before we go to Forks anyways,” Edward added. Sometimes I felt Edward could read my mind.

Emmett and Rosalie came in.

“Did I hear something about a hunt?” Emmett boomed sounding excited.

Alice bobbed her head up and down, jumping at the same time. “Let’s go to somewhere far! How about Africa?” She was getting worked up.

I shook my head. Alice’s face fell. I rolled my eyes. Edward smiled with amusement.

“I hate it when you do that Alice!” I said slightly annoyed.

“Oh common Bella. Pleeasee? We’d be back before morning.”

Alice looked like she was about to cry. I groaned.

“FINE!” I yelled “But not Africa! Just Canada”

Alice perked up.

“Canada has loads of bears! Alright let’s go then! Nice choice.” Emmett grinned at me.

Two hours later we were running through a dark forest. I felt the wind blowing through my hair, the clean air hitting my face. We raced the whole way. Edward won naturally, but it was a close match. We all stopped and Edward fell back to hold my hand. He kissed the top of my head. Everyone split up to go hunt, and Edward pulled me with him as we started running.

“Be right back” Edward muttered into my ear. Spotting a mountain lion, Edward bounded off. I stood still and heard the smallest rustle of a leaf. I felt an elk not too far away. I sprinted towards it. A few meters away I stopped short. I crouched, taking a leap I landed on the elk’s back. I snapped its neck quickly and drank. Just as I finished Edward caught me around the waist. I giggled, and he pulled me into his arms. Before I realized what happened my lips were molded into his. I grabbed at him and his hands cupped my face.

Hearing Emmett cleared his throat we turned around. “Well… Hate to interrupt… but seeing as we want to get back home soon.”

I rolled my eyes. “Way to ruin the moment Emmett” I shot at him.

“Told you so” Rosalie sang under her breath.

Okay I know that this chapter is super slow and very unexciting, but the next chapter will be better I promise! In the mean time, please REVIEW!!!

I’ll be here

Chapter 3

Jacob’s POV

Damn it. She’s coming today.

Edward’s POV

I hope the dog doesn’t do anything stupid. If only he knew the effect he has on her…

Bella’s POV

What is he going to say? What if he’s not the Jacob I know? What if he hates me?

Edward’s POV

I watched Bella’s face constrict with worry and pain.

“Common Bella, why don’t we leave now?”

Bella froze. “Now?” she whispered.

“Bella, it might as well be now. What are we waiting for?”

Bella nodded

“I’ll go get Alice and Jasper”

Bella nodded again.

“No need” Alice chirped “Ready Bella?”

Bella shook her head. She seemed at a loss for words.

I took her hand and squeezed it reassuringly.

She gave me a small smile

We decided to take Alice’s Porsche. The trip was quiet, Jasper emitting waves of calm and comfort the whole way.

“Why don’t you two get out now, and Jasper and I will go hide the car?” Alice said her musical voice breaking the silence.

Keep her safe Alice thought to me.

I bitterly laughed inwardly; Bella hardly needed anyone to keep her safe from anything now. Except for this.

Bella’s POV

This was the most nervous I had been since my transformation. I held tightly onto Edward’s hand.

“Edward…” I hesitated “Maybe I should go alone. I don’t think Jacob’s going to take well to seeing me. It’d probably make things worse if you we there”

I wanted Edward to be there so much. But it would make things worse.

“Of course, love” Edward agreed.

I had expected him to put up a fight, but I was glad he didn’t.

I kissed him quickly. Edward pulled me up to him. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head lightly. I didn’t want to let go.

Edward’s POV

I held on to her tightly. She broke off, kissed me once more and then walked off. The wind ruffled her hair. Bella threw a glance back at me, squared her shoulders and walked off.

“I’ll be here waiting” I whispered, knowing she would hear me.
