It starts out just like any other wedding fic, but Bella is in for a surprise.

This is probably the most RANDOM thing I’ll EVER write, but I was just thinking about Bella’s wedding, (if there is one; cross fingers) and who would be brides maids. If she had two separate weddings, (one with humans and one with the Cullens), would she have Alice at the human one as a maid of honor? Who else would be there, since her closest friends are vampires, even though the ARE supposed to be there, since Edward is the groom…(that thought gets REALLY off topic) Would Jessica and Angela be there? I guess not Jessica, after New Moon, but what about Angela? I really want them to be better friends…OH! What if… And that’s where the idea came from. So I’ll stop rambling and let you enjoy the story.

I stared at her in amazement. "A-Angela?" I stammered.

"Hi, Bella," she said with chagrin.

I blinked, dumbfounded. I turned to Alice, who had come up on the other side of me. "How…when…? Alice?" I asked desperately.

She sighed. "Sit down, Bella," she commanded, ushering me over to a few chairs put out for the wedding. "I’ll explain how this happened."

We all sat down. Edward took my hands in his. "Brace yourself."

Alice and Angela each took a seat on either side of Jasper. He had a sheepish look on his face.

"Bella," Jasper began. "As you know, when I was changed, I…didn’t automatically join the Cullen family. I’m not proud of it, but I was a savage." He looked at his hands, and I could only imagine what he saw behind his eyes.

My bottom lip quivered. "I know. But what does that have to do with Angela?"

He looked up, only to put his face in his hands a moment later. "I-I changed her."

Alice saw my face, and quickly added, "By, accident, of course."

"Of course," I echoed. I shook my head. "When did this happen?"

Jasper sighed and looked up. "1863. I was just changed…and I…and I…" Alice patted his back comfortingly.

"1863?" I asked. "But…that means she was a vampire while…" I trailed off.

"While you were friends, yes," Carlisle finished for me.

Angela spoke for the first time. "You see, Bella, I joined the Cullens long before Jasper. And Edward and I, well, I guess you could say we had what you have, except stronger." The look in her eyes I caught before my eyes could completely fill with tears told me every word she said was true.

Edward raised his hand to wipe away a tear that was streaming down my face, but I brushed it away. I wasn’t angry with him, him loving someone else was to be expected in my mind, but the fact that he had lied to me hurt more than anything else did.

"Bella, I’m sorry I had to tell you like this, but I couldn’t let you go through with this without knowing he loves someone else."

Perhaps nothing should have registered in my mind after that load of information, and yet somehow, it did.

"Loves?" I looked at Angela through a wall of tears.

She flashed me a look somewhere between pity and understanding. "Yes, Bella. When I came to Forks and saw that I had found Eddy again," she smiled at Edward when she said this ‘nick name’. I hated it. "I didn’t do anything. He had broken my heart before, and I wouldn’t have it happen again. Little did I know, he would be coming back to me." She moved from Jasper’s side to Edward’s, snatching his hand out of mine. "And like I said, I’m not going to let him break my heart again."

"No," was the only thing coherent I could manage.

With one apologetic glance back at me, Edward took off with Angela, leaving me sitting there in my wedding dress, stained black with runoff mascara.
