It starts out just like any other wedding fic, but Bella is in for a surprise.
This is probably the most RANDOM thing I’ll EVER write, but I was just thinking about Bella’s wedding, (if there is one; cross fingers) and who would be brides maids. If she had two separate weddings, (one with humans and one with the Cullens), would she have Alice at the human one as a maid of honor? Who else would be there, since her closest friends are vampires, even though the ARE supposed to be there, since Edward is the groom…(that thought gets REALLY off topic) Would Jessica and Angela be there? I guess not Jessica, after New Moon, but what about Angela? I really want them to be better friends…OH! What if… And that’s where the idea came from. So I’ll stop rambling and let you enjoy the story.

"My god, I need to get some better henchmen!" Kate exclaimed when she turned away from Edward and faced me. I deftly rolled my eyes.
"…Bella?" Edward mumbled my name, his words slurred, but as lovely as ever. I looked at Kate quizzically.
"Edward was a fighter," she explained, glancing over my shoulder at the fight going on. "I had to make my power so strong, he almost passed out. Not that it matters. He won’t be living for long." Her maniacal laughter filled the room.
It took a moment for this to sink in. "But if you’re going to…kill him, then why are you marrying him?" I was surprised at how calm I sounded.
"I already told you, Isabella! Him leaving you is what will hurt you the most1 Killing him just isn’t enough. You have to watch as your beloved willingly marries another. I need to make you suffer! I suffered for three years. It’s your turn now."
My muscles froze. It felt as if I had been paralyzed and couldn’t move from that spot. I knew Kate wasn’t doing this; it was all me. Kate turned away from me with a smug grin plastered on her perfect face. My perception of her had changed exponentially. She was longer devastatingly gorgeous, he features were twisted and evil. I couldn’t be sure whether my feelings toward her were changing my view of her, or, for some unfathomable reason, she was purposely changing how she looked.
She took Edward’s numb hand and held it in her own. Nemo quickly escaped from the fight down the hall and joined us. I realized he was the minister. Tears began to well in my eyes, but I made no attempt to wipe them away. I thought of all the times I had cried in front of Edward, how he would gingerly wipe them away, comforting me, occasionally tasting my tears. The thought made the storm brewing in my eyes spill over, and I could feel the warm tears streaming down my face.
A loud crash woke me from my reverie. Esme and Rosalie had broken through a window and into the wedding. They were running toward me, blurs of color headed in my direction.
"No," I mumbled weakly, surprised to find that my voice was still in working order. "Get her!" I gasped. The room began to spin around me, and the last thing I heard was a desperate, handsome voice calling my name before the room went black.
As I sat at the bottom of the dark pond of unconsciousness once again, I thought to myself, HOW many times am I going to faint right when the fighting starts?!? A muscle in me twitched, and I realized I was trying to laugh. A fiery pain struck my chest, and I was unbearably sore. Agony pinched at each bone, each tissue in me. What happened last night?
Suddenly, my body was being thrown through layers upon layers of darkness until I was floating near the surface, all traces of pain gone.
In the distance, I heard a faint, frantic voice saying, "Is she okay?" And then a much calmer voice saying, "It’s just been to traumatic for her. She’ll come to, you know Bella." The first voice said, "Oh this is all my fault! How could I have done that to my angel?"
I attempted to speak, but all that came out was a barely audible groan.
"Bella? Bella, can you hear me? I think she’s waking up!"
Each part of my body twitched slightly while coming to life. My eyes flickered open slowly but surely.
"Bella," Edward sighed with a mixture of relief and misery in his eyes. "Are you alright?" he asked.
I nodded mechanically. Something in his tone was wrong, too strong. I mean, I know this day has been really hard, but there was something…else. I knew it.
"What happened?" I moaned. "Where’s Kate?"
Alice hesitated, then answered, "We got her, after…" she trailed off, and I forgot about the exhaustion I felt.
"Well…after she…bit you."
Edward must have seen the shock register in my eyes, for he turned away from me in tearless sobs.
"So…I’m a…" The group around me nodded solemnly. "I-isn’t that good? I mean, now I can be with you forever," I stammered, directing my words toward Edward.
He turned to me, misery clearly winning out as the dominant emotion. "Isabella," he began. "My sweet, innocent Bella, how could I have let this happen to you, let her do that to you? I sat here, listening to you screaming in agony for three long days. Three days, always knowing what would happen, what you’d become. Now you’re doomed to eternal night, along with me. Forever is a curse, not a blessing."
I stared at him, astounded. "Edward, look at me. Look me in the eyes and tell me I’m not the same person. Tell me I’m a monster. Edward, I want you to look at me and tell me I’ve lost my soul. Can you?" I said, letting sternness color my tone.
He obeyed, and a weak smile began on his lips. Suddenly, unexpectedly, he swept me up into his arms and kissed me. It was a real kiss, filled with passion and no precaution. I forgot all about his family surrounding us. When the kiss ended and we drifted apart, he whispered in my ear, "I love you, Bella, and nothing in the real or mythical world will ever change that."
And so we left the church, running at top speed. There wasn’t a moment of our eternal love we wanted to waste. We had another wedding to plan.
