My Angel

The look on his face was torturous. It burned searing holes through the frozen muscle of my unbeating heart.

"Emmett..."

I reached out to him, breaking from my trance. He tore his eyes away, turned, and ran. Just ran.

I turned to Edward, glaring.

"What was that about?! Isn't Bella enough tongue-action for you?"

He shook his head, dispelling his trance.

"Very funny,Rosalie. I was in a trance too."

"Oh."

We remained silent for awhile, thinking. I finally broke the heavy silence.

"What are we going to do about Emmett?" I asked.

"Lie, of course."

"WHAT?"

"Well, do you know who put us in trances?"

I thought for a moment.

"Well?" he asked impatiently.

"David!" I cried, triumphant.

"Who?"

"My brother! He wet looking for me when I was changed and Tristan's coven nailed him and his best friend. I didn't know he had a power..."

"We need to explain that to Emmett before he does something stupid."

"Agreed."

We raced to the door and then down the stairs to to the backdoor. I threw it open and both Edward and I froze.

There, in front of the door, was Emmett. Emmett and Bella. Emmett and Bella...together...full-on making out.

"How could you do this to me, Emmett?" I heard myself sob.

I felt my back hit the door frame and I slid along it to the ground, curling up in a ball, wishing to disappear.

Until the day I die, I spill my heart for you. As years go by, I race the clock wiht you. But if you died right now, you know that I'd die too. You remind me of the times when I knew who I was, but still the second hand will catch us like it always does.
