Tears Don't Fall

Summary:
Edward must leave Bella, but Bella is reluctant to let him go.
Bella is overwhelmed with sadness. Then, she finds out she is plagued with an incurable illness. Can she keep Edward by her side until the very end? This takes place in around chapter 2 of New Moon. I wrote this based on nothing, so forgive me if the information is inaccurate. DISCLAIMER: All characters, real or fake, belong to Stephenie Meyer. Notes:
Mmm... I always wondered what would happen in these kinds of situations.

Dragging the mass of chiffon I had attached to me, I shuffled behind Jacob out of the room. They didn’t seem to notice that their prisoner had escaped. To my dismay, Jacob and Sam ran fast, and I soon lost sight of them in the vast green forest. I finally pushed my way into an opening of trees.

They surrounded Edward like a pack of hungry dogs, circling him. Edward stood in the middle, hands in at his side. When he caught the scent of me, he turned around and smiled. “I’m glad you’re still alive.” He said, smiling that crooked smile as if he wasn’t about to die. Neither Jacob nor Sam stopped me as I ran into Edward’s open and inviting arms. If we were to die, we would die together.

“I love you, Edward Cullen.” I said, and then braced myself against Edward. I felt his cool lips in my hair.

“I love you, Isabella Marie Swan. And I always will.” Then, I closed my eyes and prepared to die.

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Juliet and her Romeo.
