Ok, so this is my first ever! But don't be all nice about what you think. Be brutally honest please! I really just want to know what you think.

We were all sitting around the living room when the first few rays of light filtered in through the windows. As much as we wanted to put the metal shutters down to protect ourselves, we couldn’t let the Volturi know that we suspected their presence.

“It’s time.” Alice breathed out.

“Edward, have they left?” Carlisle turned to me.

I listened closely for the thoughts of our enemies, only one was present. I wish they took me with them last night, now I have to wait four excruciatingly lonely days for them to return. I wish that they had at least left Hannah or Leslie here with me. They at least have experience. What if they find out that I’m here? What if they attack me? What if they all leave? What am I supposed to do? I should move farther back so that they don’t notice me. There that’s good.

“They’ve left. The one they left behind is inexperienced. If we have to fight her it won’t be hard at all.” Carlisle nodded accepting my answer, then he turned to they rest of our family.

“I guess this is goodbye. You know the wolves number if you possibly need their help protecting Forks?”

Esme nodded. “I have Sam’s number; if we have even the slightest problem we’ll call him for help if needed.”

“Good.” Carlisle seemed at a loss of words, realizing that we could possibly be seeing our family for the last time. “We should leave now.”

Jaspers hand, which had been holding onto Alice’s, tightened. He didn’t like the idea of Alice going to Volterra more than Rosalie, who was kissing Emmett passionately, like Emmett going. But see was vital for this mission, as was Emmett’s strength. Carlisle walked over to Esme and embraced her tightly, whispering “I love you” in her ear. She nodded and returned the hug, whispering the same thing in his ear.

Tanya walked over to me and patted me gently on the shoulder. “Good luck, you’ll need it.”

I nodded then stalked out the front door with Alice, Carlisle and Emmett trailing me.

Edward, listen to the girl's thoughts. Make sure she believes us.

I nodded than listened intently. Oh, look at that, their company is leaving already. Probably can’t stand the grief that they’re going through. I could guess that Edward is probably suffering terribly from thinking that Bella is dead. It’s probably how I felt when I found out that Peter was dead.

I nodded once again to let Carlisle know that she believed the charade that we were putting on right now.

As soon as we were out of hearing range I spoke. “How are we getting there?”

“I got plane tickets that go from Canada to Italy, I thought I would be a good idea to stay away from Seattle, no actually I saw that it would be a good idea.” Alice said pulling four tickets out of her pocket. “If we continue running at this pace we should make the plane just in time.”

It would be a good idea to make it just in time. That way I wouldn’t decide that waiting for take off was to long a time and take control of the plane myself.

Just as Alice predicted we made it just in time. The whole time the plane taxied out to the runway I was shaking from anxiety. Why couldn’t the plane move faster?

I shot Alice a sharp glare when I caught her thinking of how Bella had acted on the plane on the way to save me from the Volturi and how I acted the same going to save Bella from the same people. She stopped thinking about it when she saw my expression, instead turning her thoughts to Jasper.

The plane finally touched down in New York, and we ran to catch our connection to Italy. The ride was long, with nothing to look at except the wide blue depths of the ocean. Finally Italy came into site, and we landed.

I was up and out of my seat before the plane came to a complete stop and the seat belt sign was turned off. I received a few nasty glares from the stewardess, but she said nothing after seeing the expression on my face.

Alice went off in search of a suitable car to carry us to Volterra while the rest of us waited. A few moments later a bright yellow car screeched to a stop in front of us. It was exactly like the car Alice and Bella had stolen only months ago.

“Get in.” She yelled and we all jumped in the car as she screeched out of the parking lot and out onto the highway.

“Alice-“ I started but she cut me off.

“You are not driving. I’m the one with the experience with this kind of car, and the one with more emotional control right now.”

No one said another word until the city of Volterra appeared on the horizon.
