My light went dark
So long ago
My hopes ran dry
That much I know
Since you left
My pitiful life
I began to change
Beneath the strife
Once joyous moods
Soured so easily
A considerate person
Turned angry and measly
The bitterness ensued
And corrupted my heart
Its not your fault though
I should have known my part
Never angry with you
For how could I be?
I know the frustrations
That have been caused by me
You would never falter
Nor would you waver
And yet here I sit
Awaiting my savior
