First Sun RayI had never been asked to be turned into a vampire, not that the majority of us have. We feel our last human memory, the fire spreading through the body creating scars that would last us our eternity. I was lucky enough to have my brother with me when it happened; the two of us became very powerful and useful to the Volturi.
“Alec, where did you put mother’s pail for fetching water? She just demanded some more.” I sighed as I walked into the cramped bedroom that my brother and I were forced to reside in looking at him. “Of course, I gave her a bit of well Pain.” My brother turned towards me, grinning widely. Of course, I was too.
“And how did she like that?” He questioned, standing up from whatever he had been doing on the floor. The two of us had, well let’s just say… talents and we liked to… play with them with the people that annoyed us.
“Oh, well let’s just say that right now she is napping. I think she will be napping for quite a while, if you know what I mean.”
Suddenly, there was a loud banging coming from our front door. It burst open and quite literally all the adults in our quaint and quiet town came bursting in. My best friend, Gabriella Tally’s mother grabbed my wrist and started to pull me out the door. My eight year old body could not defend itself, but my mind defiantly could.
I sent searing pain in Mrs. Tally, causing her to fall backwards, sadly still holding onto me. I fell on top of her and soon the village had me tied up. I sent random bits of pain to different people, but it did no good.
I couldn’t see where Alec was. I assumed that he too was being taken prisoner.
I was led to a prison which I was forcibly thrust into. It was dingy and dark. I didn’t like it. I was given no food and I heard men outside my cell discussing ‘those two Tenet brats’ that were going to be executed.
Not being fed, I had no energy and I couldn’t harm people as effectively, I found.
One day, I heard loads of screaming and I looked out my cell. My guards were lying lifeless, slumped on a cell. They were dead.
A robed man stood outside my cell, with the keys. He unlocked my door and led me out. He took my wrist and bit it. I screamed mercilessly and I was soon a bloodthirsty creature along with my brother.I had never been asked to be turned into a vampire, not that the majority of us have.
