What? I heard Leah’s voice retort. I could feel her searching my mind.

Get the pack Leah! She saw my thoughts.

Oh, I am on my way. The vampire was long gone. But I felt relived because he no longer threatened her life. It felt weird having so much passion for a girl who still remained nameless to me. I phased and put my clothes back on.

I needed to take her to the hospital, her arm was defiantly broken. I was looking at her mangled arm and a growl slipped through my lips. The disgusting leech did this; he is going to pay for laying his filthy hands on her. The image of him laughing at her pain filled my head and it took me everything not to phase right there. But looking at her face seemed to calm the ripples of hatred going down my back.

I needed to pick her up so I could get her to a hospital, but she looked so peaceful that I didn’t want to disturb her. I bent down and traced her jaw line with my finger. My finger seemed to tingle at the touch. It seemed as if everything in my life had led me straight to her. Her and I were meant to be together, she is my true other half.

When I pulled my finger back she craned her neck searching for my finger, then she opened her eyes.

God she is beautiful.

Violets POV:

Consciousness came to me, I heard the even breathing of someone other than me. I felt a flaming finger trace my jaw line then pull a way. I lifted my neck searching for the finger craving its warmth.

My eyes flutter open, I was on the ground in front of the tree I had hit. There was a boy crouching over me. It took me a moment to realize that it was the boy that had caught me staring at him. He let out a big sigh of relief to see me conscious.

“Are you alright?” The boy’s voice was full of concern. The way he looked at me made me blush a little. I had never had someone ever look at me that way he did, with totally adoration.

“Yeah, I think so.”

“By the way my name is Jacob Black. But you can call me Jake.”

“Violet Sparks.” He smirked looking at my eyes.

“The name suits you.” I guess he had noticed my eye color. I try to get up but wince at the pain I feel in my arm and my ribs. He looked concerned when I did so. He stood up and out stretched his hand and I just gawked at it.

“Do you want some help?” I replied with a sheepish smile and took his out stretched hand with my good arm. I couldn’t help but notice how feverishly warm his hand was.

He helped me up, I gave a grunt of pain. Every inch of my body was aching and every time I breathed in there was a sharp pain on my side.

"Oh, sorry I didn’t mean –" I interrupted his apology because he didn’t do anything wrong.

“No its fine, I am just a little sore.” He still looked worried.

“Is anything broken?” He asks while eyeing my twisted arm.

“Yeah my arm and maybe some ribs.” He looks pained as I say this.

“I am truly sorry about that.” He voice rang with sincerity which I couldn’t doubt, but now I was curious.

“Why? I mean you didn’t do this.” He still looks guilty. He couldn’t have stopped a vampire. This reminds me of the wolf that did stop the vampire. Jacob looked down at me, the look in his eyes instantly made me think about the wolf’s eyes.

“Do you know what…?” He trailed off. I wanted him to continue so bad. I wanted him to say it. A vampire. So that I wouldn’t have to lie, so I would seem that much less insane.

Come on spit it out!

“Yes?” I could here my own eagerness.

“I meant to ask you, what attacked you?”

“But you didn’t. I know perfectly well what attacked me and I am pretty sure that you do too.” I don’t think I have ever been so straight forward before. He searches my eyes for something but whatever he found gave him courage. He takes a deep breath then says with a little hesitation.

“A… a vampire.” A feel a smile fill my face. Yes! I wasn’t the only one who knew about this.

“Yes, a vampire.”

“Well, I am glad we got that over with. But Violet I think I should get you to the hospital.”

“Um I don’t know if I can really walk.” His face lit up at something.

“Would you like me to carry you?”

“That would be nice Jake.” His eyes seemed to dance when I said his name.
